My problem with buying from Steam is that I don't have a good internet connection. The highest download speed I can get is 270 kb/s and it means have to leave my PC running overnight, because I share the internet with family members. What I like about having a disc is that you can put it into the drive and it should be ready to play within 30 minutes compared to having to wait 7+ hours when you can't use your internet.
I really wish I could buy games from Steam more often, I usually only buy Indie titles, but I've been waiting for better internet in my area for 2 years now but it doesn't seem like it will be happening. I guess I will buy this game from Steam when it's on sale, if only because it has such a big price difference.
I live in the UK and I'm having trouble finding any retail store selling a copy of Saints Row 4. I was waiting to get Saints Row 4 for Christmas because I thought it would be at least 25% lower in price than it was on release, but Amazon aren't even selling it. It's being sold by another buyer and it costs £40, and I've never seen a PC game sell for that much.
The game has only been out for 4 months and this is the sort of thing you would expect to happen 5 years after release. I'm wondering if anyone might know why this is happening, did the game get discontinued due to poor sales or something?
I thought Moon was brilliant but I also thought Source Code was generic as hell. This will probably be a mix of both, but I'm looking forward to see how this actually turns out.
@greggd: It doesn't really make a difference. Anyone who is good at the game knows you don't need to use anything other than a red dot sight on a gun. A 3.4x scope on a pistol is totally useless, especially when it's one with low damage, and DICE probably have stuff that is a lot better than this that they could have handed out. Personally, I think it's an insult to give out a scope like that, I'd rather just see them focus on fixing the game, and it's laughable that they're putting out double xp during a time when the game isn't worth playing.
I think we're better off with out it. Last year's show kind of sucked because it went on for too long and a lot of it was just stuff we would normally see as individual videos.
