I haven't listened to this yet, but I just want to say that I met an ex girlfriend through Teletext.

I watched this before I went to sleep last night, and then I had a dream that Moby was following me around everywhere... I have a strange feeling this video is to blame for that.

I'm probably in some minority on this one, but I found Three Houses music to be pretty underwhelming, especially after loving so many of the tracks in Echoes. I ended up buying some of those fake Amiibo cards just so I could have a couple of those tracks in the game. There was a couple of pieces I really liked during the attack on the monastery and the bass-y tune that plays whenever you're about to murder your old friends in the back half of the game.

I have an insane amount of things to say about that game. I don't love it, but I liked it a lot, enough to see through the story of each house. (I skipped the church route) I generally though the Persona-esque stuff added very little and I found myself doing the bare minimum of actions to max characters happiness out. I just found myself going through the motions of plant stuff>buy items>have meals, and do any side missions/conversations. It was a little tiresome by the end, especially on the second and third playthroughs. I generally liked the conversation stuff if a little limited. Many characters have almost no progression, with many having the exact same fears or quirks as they had five years earlier. I expected Bernadetta to be a confident badass after the time skip, but she's still stuck in her room scared at everything. There are two noticeable character changes though in Edelgard and Dimitri, who might be the best character in the entire game, if a little one note. But for about 90% of the cast there's almost no change in anyone, and some of those conversations go over the same ground over and over again. The one thing everyone should agree on though is that Hilda is the best. HILDA! HILDA!

I'm sure there are a lot of people that adore the social aspects of the game, but I think I'd prefer it if they scale it back next time. I just hated running around that monastery, even with the super fast teleport.

I've somehow made it sound like I don't like a game I've put the most hours into this year. I like it a lot... honest.

Honestly, I don't see the difference between Dan telling her not to buy the rocket launcher (a waste of 30000 that would have been the most "Dan" thing to do) and just saying what the flash grenades do... Abby pretty much figured it out anyways.

Oh well nobody reads these comments anyway, and she's doing well enough that it will probably be fine regardless.

This is kind of a bit cheaty, but you can force checkpoints by going in and out of the load doors. So if a part like the catapults happens you can snipe the first two guys, leave back through the door where the merchant is, and then you wouldn't have had to deal with the two on the ledge every time. It would have made that part a little less frustrating, and it's doubtful you wouldn't kill those guys.

I do wish Dan would mention the trick with one of the weapons, because the game will never tell Abby, and it's not a spoiler. It would just help out with some of the bigger, more intense encounters. (especially the room at the end)

The series is a lot of fun though, it's nice to see people's first experiences with Resident Evil 4. There's still a bunch of much crazier stuff to come.

Out of the games I played I feel almost exactly the same about Hellblade, Horizon, Rabbids and Metroid. I feel like I got a lot more out of Edith Finch, although the ending left me kinda cold.

I liked Metroid just fine, but I found the constant big bosses towards the end to be frustrating. The game also locks you into one area that just won't let you progress until you've beaten one of the hardest enemies in the game. I actually found the difficulty to be almost unfair in a lot of places. You take so much damage from everything in the game. The nostalgia baiting musical tracks from Super are great though.

Oh, and the circle pad for turning into a ball (and no the screen tap isn't much more helpful in some situations) is really annoying.

Firstly I just want to agree about the Rabbids soundtrack. When the DKC music pops in during that boss it brings a smile to my face every single time.

I've not gotten round to Night in the Woods yet, and Hollow Knight sounds great. (I'm waiting for the Switch version)

I guess I fall into the camp that wishes Zelda had a little more music. Every single time the jazzy Hinox music kicks in or the incredible castle music starts up I get that little burst of determination. I felt like I could stand around in the Rito village for hours just letting that calming music play... I'm undecided if day or night is better though.

I also feel like there must be something wrong with me. I've been told for years how good the Persona music is and it kinda does nothing for me at all. P5 was my first Persona and I thought it was generally OK. I never hated it, but only really paid attention to the heist music you posted, although I like the version without the vocals more. I think with how long that game is there needs to be much, much more music. I was sick of a lot of it by the end.

Nier has a lot of really good tracks. I love the music from the intro that gives off Kenji Kawai vibes, but I think my favourite track is Copied City.

I love the Lake Kingdom music in Mario, it reminds me of the music in Escaflowne (ugh anime) for some reason, but I definitely love some of the weirder electronic stuff like when New Donk is all rainy and Bayonetta-y. And that finale song... just... it's something.

There's something about Wolfenstein 2's music that just doesn't have the same punch as The New Order. It never felt like it demanded my attention or punctuated the action scenes as well as the music from the first game.

Sorry, lots of words.

Things I liked a lot.

Sonic Mania, I think Studiopolis 2 is the best new music in the game and I kinda love how Press Garden 1 sounds like it's from Guardian heroes on the Saturn, Press Garden 2 sounds like it's from a Shinobi game, and the remix from Lava Reef 2 sounds like something from Astal, also on the Saturn.

There's a really beautiful atmospheric track as the end of Little Nightmares called Beneath the Waves.

I love the remade tracks for Fire Emblem. I've listened to the older versions and it's incredible how grand they made them sound. I love March to Deliverance, The Sacrifice and the Saint, and Twilight of the Gods.

The secretly great orchestral score of 2017 goes to Knack 2... really. I adore the music in that game, it gives off Jerry Goldsmith vibes in places.

And then there's possibly one of the best soundtracks ever. Oh man Xenoblade 2 has blown me away consistently. I love how effortlessly if flips back and forth between multiple genres without ever sounding disjointed. I adore Awakening, Mor Adain - Roaming the Wastes and Leftherian Archipelago. (both day and night versions) There's a high possibility that there's more that I've not heard because I think I'm only about half way through the game.

Again. Sorry for all the words.

That sucks. I wish they'd have focused all of their DLC on story stuff. I really don't care for the extra mode on the disc and this sounds similarly boring. I'd only really care for a Horde-like mode if it's co-op, but it will no doubt just be leaderboard based.

I feel like all of the Hyrule Warriors tracks were incredible for the first few minutes, but drove me insane over extended periods of time. Maybe it's the games way of telling you to stop playing Hyrule Warriors.

@mems1224: I was playing on the Xbox too, and there have been super nice people, some people that have taught me stuff I didn't know, but that has most definitely been the exception. The worst players also tend to be from the UK.
