I resonate with John's point about not be able to pick up some of the show's themes when I was younger. It's instantly assessable as a cool show with heaps of style, but the feelings of weariness and regret are probably less appreciated until you've grown up a bit and had some hard times.
Faye not remembering her younger self is like reading something I wrote as child and not recognizing who I used to be. Back when I was still carefree and oblivious, before life sanded away a few of my rough edges, but also took some of the optimism and joy.
I like the announcement of the Friday podcast. Having the opportunity for Tam, Lucy, Bailey, Emma, and Niki to appear more often is only a good thing to me. Hope it actually happens.
I thought Jeff would have liked Toys in the Attic. It's a horror-adjacent episode that is ultimately just a silly goof. But I forgot he regularly has terrible opinions, so that's on me.
ELM is the song that plays during the chase on Ganymede. It sounds like Kiss from a Rose at the start but quickly becomes it's own thing. It's very distinctive and exemplifies the variety of the show's music.
Ed's a real oddball that doesn't seem to fit in the same universe as the rest of the crew, but I do enjoy the contrast and find her antics more cute than annoying. I'm delighted that Jeff likes her.
