Bought these at Christmas time. I also got the WoW goblin riding a rocket statue, some WoW Troll Shaman figure, and the Assassin's Creed IV statue. Don't really care for that stuff, but I gave in to impulse buys and got them for some reason. I'm not really into this kind of thing as I find most of them are unappealing to look at all the time, and I only got the Ninja Turtles to satisfy my kid dream of having all four turtles. I always only had one or two of them and I hated it.

I too have noticed that posting is acting a little spazzy lately... plus I wasn't even notified for this reply either, and I appear to be receiving notifications from myself??? Guess it just wouldn't be Giant Bomb if everything didn't collapse onto itself at least once every couple weeks.

Also, what the hell is this "stigma" people keep referring to? Is it really seen as that bad just to like to collect figures? To me that seems like a rather shallow perception on the part of the people who view it that way.

And obviously I had to put it in that Attack on Titan pose, because I'm lame. I would probably buy more, but figure price + shipping + 24% value-added tax is a bit too pricey for me. I do want to get something from One Piece though.

Some sweet setups posted so far. There's a depressing backlog of Vanillaware figures I need to buy at some point, the most expensive one already goes for 20000 yen, but for now I'm waiting for the wave of Dragon's Crown. Risty here will fit right in.

@corruptedevil: It's the figma. If you want a Chie figure, there's better choices, but the figma is the only one that's articulated and is probably the cheapest.

I think it has more to do with immature perceptions of the sorts of people that collect figures (being lonely, desperate losers or manchildren incapable of living as functional adults), which honestly is a shallow view to take either way. It's looking down on others based a hobby that they find absurd, and no different than those that still judge adults for liking something as "kiddie" as video games.

I also have on order Elf, Starfire and Rebecca and I don't even know how I'm going to display them. I have a thing where if I'm going to buy one, I want them to be displayed elaborately, hence the cases and such.

Not the highest quality or most elaborate figure, and some of the paint has been damaged (probably no thanks in part to numerous moves I've been through since I bought it, and my own carelessness). I bought the figure at an anime hobby shop that used to operate near the university I attended during my freshman year, so that would have been...wow. About fifteen years ago.

Well, after looking into it, I have found a statue of my one and only waifu. Just need to save up for it.

Might also try to pick up this one as well...

I have these two sackpeople sitting on my desk. They may not be made of plastic, but they sit there and stare at things, so it's fine by me!

Other than that, I have this freakishly horrible mountain of stuff animals crowded on this shelf. Again, not made of plastic, but they sit there and collect dust like any figure does.

I also had a bunch of happy meal toy figurines placed across my room when I was a kid. I threw all those away.

Some of you guys have some really impressive collections. I don't think I could willingly make it a hobby of mine due to the amount of money to invest, unfortunately.

This thread has made me extremely jealous. The only figure I had was a cool scene of Godzilla and King Ghidorah that I can't find a photo of. It got dusty and started to fall apart after a couple of years. I'll probably end up buying at least one this year.

For a while I thought about starting to collect them in earnest and bought a few new figures, including a few "higher-end" ones like Momohime, Big Daddy and Little Sister and a couple based on designs by Range Murata since I love his art to go along with my older He-Man and Spawn figures:

It's always a treat to find a new bottle of a local specialty whenever I travel, like those sake bottles and barrel on the right I got on my trip to Japan and the wine bottle shaped like a bull in the middle I got when I went to Spain.

This is my "shrine" dedicated to Vanillaware, Senran Kagura and crappy Niitengos. It's getting pretty crowded thanks to all the Yaegashi Nan artbooks.

Yeah, the prices on the high-end figures can really sting, especially if you're ordering them as imports.

I'm not one for collecitng them myself, but there are some seriously nice kaiju figures out there.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the number of people that have the Momohime figure in this thread. And that bottle collection is pretty snazzy. Is that a Crystal Skull Vodka bottle?

That's a nice display you've set up. I've considered doing something similar with some of my games, but I don't really have the room for it.

I saw them while I was at a comic shop on Saturday during Free Comic Book Day and ended up returning to buy them today. The one in the middle (and the least likely for people to recognize) is the Star Wars Extended Universe character Jaina Solo, who was recently booted out of the canon by Lucasfilm.
