My brief stance on downloadable titles.

Only on rare occasions.  I prefer physical copies of my games.  It takes something truly exceptional or eye-catching for me to buy it as a download, though I will admit to buying a number of Virtual Console releases simply because the physical versions of those games are either impossible to come by today or because the batteries in the cartridges have gone dead or are close to dying.

I think the older generation prefer to have physical copies of their games so can hug and pamper them. Like books, I just prefer a physical copy of it opposed to an e-book of it.

@eroticfishcake: True enough.  I actually die a little inside any time I see someone using a Kindle.

@Hailinel: You can't deny how incredibly convenient a Kindle is (or any other e-book) but it just doesn't feel right. Quite a bold claim but sometime in the far future I've got a feeling that all books would be digitised eventually. Besides, it's a little strange when you buy something but you don't have it physically in your hands...

@eroticfishcake: You're right.  I can't deny their convenience, but it just feels wrong to use one.  I need my physical pages and bookmarks.

@Hailinel: I just realised how icky the Kindle looks like in contrast to a leather bound book, I'm sure going to miss book covers...hmm. I guess having it physically in your hands is a reassurance of your purchase, with money flying over electronic transactions it's quite easy to pay for something and get a complete fuckup in return. Difficult to deal with something that't not physically 'there'. I'm beginning to sound a little senile.
