Some of my favourite Bombcasts have been the ones featuring developers with countless years combined experience making games, just telling stories about the sort of things they have to go through to get releases out the door.
If you could find some sort of way to get more of these stories in article form, I'd be all over that. Perhaps take a single, older game, or even a seasoned developer, and just get them to talk about the process they had to go through to get that game (or their games) onto store shelves.
My guitar. It's got hums in certain places, and I like to think I'd know if it changed.
Then again, if someone were to hear me play it, then they'd be able to replicate it in a dream wouldn't they? So I guess my totem would be pretty useless...
So I came into this quite eager to prove everyone wrong by saying that this increase is only as a result of inflation, which everything is susceptible to. However after looking at the US's inflation figures since 2002 when XBL was first released I've worked out that if the service's price were to rise in line with inflation it should cost $57.825390569 a year now.
Yeah, you're totally seeing a real price increase there. Don't get me wrong, it's only a couple of dollars, but that still kinda blows.
I can't help but get the feeling Spore didn't make EA enough money so now they're desperately trying to find a use for all the (admittedly excellent) creation tools they spent so much money making for Spore.
I think this is a good thing, since it was these tools that were the best part of what was an otherwise crummy game, but I may be alone in this...
I've also been experiencing the exact problems lordofultima described. I've tried Firefox on both Ubuntu and Windows XP and have had no success with either.
Just thought I'd post so that these issues can get resolved.
