I was really excited for this year's GOTY deliberations, because it was such a good and bad year, but after day 1 or two I realized how much of a shitshow this turned into. Maybe it's a new found apretiation in different things in life, but E3 and GOTY are my most anticipated times of Giant Bomb stuff. This was pretty much a meh. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't great. If next year is the same with all categories having their own pages, then I think I'm going to skip a lot of stuff. It's not that I was dissapointed in the 20-40 minute disscusions for the minor categories, it's just that the major ones were loaded with too much politics or "what is this category" type of stuff that's very Giant Bomb, but maybe too much even for Giant Bomb.
Haven't watched half of the Specialtacular stuff, which seems better than ever this year, so I'm going to stick to that I think. Oh and also - I miss the skits you guys did (end of video games, studio under construction, etc.).
I don't mean to be too mean, but hiring 3 people in 1 year, might be too much for what it's worth.
But to that I also have to say - there's nothing like Giant Bomb out there, so keep being you guys!
I watched this while an unopened Pepsi is sitting on my desk. Still don't like Pepsi as much as Coke, but somebody in this house keeps buying this damn Pepsi! You might as well drink whatever ya gat, ya know?
These are always great! Keep em comming! I'm sure with the staff expanding and redoing parts of the site and business in general more types of stuff like this will come, so I'm really excited.
This is one of my new favourite series on the site. Everybody adding something different on the table while trying to go through this difficult game is great!
