Locked.

Not entirely appropriate for the forum and I'm at a loss as to why someone felt the need to bump this old topic as well.

So is it a working copy of ME2 on the disc or what? This is pretty darn funny, someone somewhere must be sitting their their head in their hands.

Nate and Elena from Uncharted have by far the best romance in a video game. Naughty Dog managed to use dialogue between the pair to reveal brief moments of intimacy between the two characters in such a way that it came across as entirely believable. They didn't resort to moral choices or scripted sex scenes with nudity etc in order to try and make the romance between the two obvious. They used good writing and tact to show the pair have a very on-again-off-again relationship that, by Uncharted 3 at least, had ended in some form of estranged marriage. Something that for anyone who has been in a real relationship can agree, it's not always an easy journey and undoubtedly every couple have their problems and a few bumps along the way, which Uncharted managed to get across to players beautifully.

Situation's like yours OP are precisely one of the reasons I always have reservations going to see a film at the cinema. At the end of the day you got the desired result, they stopped talking, so I wouldn't sweat too much over how you handled the situation.

I just came back from seeing Skyfall tonight as well and thankfully had no disruption from the other movie-goers.

If you're invested in the series as a whole then you must play Revelations, it does a fine job wrapping up Ezio's story and gives a very mystic beginning to where AC3 picks up from.

However to understand AC3 itself then you don't need to play Revelations. Like all previous AC games there's the usual "On last weeks Episode of Assassin's Creed..." reel that plays at the start which helps get new players caught up on where the story is so far.

Personally I treat Revelations as the red-headed-step-child of the series, we all know he's part of the family and tolerate him for it but deep down we sort of resent him.

Avoid poison or anything toxic like that, last thing you want is it to crawl into some cavity in the wall and die leaving a stink floating through the house and forcing you to rip the walls apart.

Best bet is to use traps pointing the bait, best bet is to use peanut butter as rodents love it, towards the skirting board/walls and change the location of the traps every few days as rats can cotton on quickly where potential dangers are located.

Failing that buy yourself a heavy duty BB gun and keep it armed by your side at all times, even while you sleep, for the inevitable second encounter with it then send that foul beast to Hell like the demon it is!

I'm one of those oddballs that has never actually sat down and played every Halo game or even read the EU Books/Novels for the series but I am a dab hand at using Google and Wikipedia and have come the following conclusion...

Humanity once evolved to a state that rivalled the Forerunners and managed to make them sweat a little during the Human/Forerunner War. The Forerunners viewed Humanity as just another violent race looking to expand aggressively across the Universe and after taking a few beatings from us they finally went all Alpha Male and almost wiped us out. However they realised too late that we were fleeing from the Flood and that is when The Librarian kickstarted the Human race again on Earth, in secret, until the Didact found out but at that point the Flood were pretty much ripping the Forerunners a new one. Now my guestimation here is that the Didact would have rather enslaved what remained of Humanity to use as fodder against the Flood instead of using the Halo Arrays but the rest of the Forerunners disagreed and imprisoned him.

Basically it seems the entire theme for the game is to not be a heartless killing machine but to show some compassion. We literally see Chief disobeying orders, getting more than a little attached to Cortana and then (I assume) get a little teary eyed at the end as he stares out the window before the credits roll.

Just a reminder for everyone to keep it civil and we can keep the topic open for folks to discuss the subject. But the moment it devolves into mindless bickering and outright trolling/flaming then the topic will be locked and warnings and/or suspensions handed out.
And for the sake of disclosure and transparency, I'm from the UK so no political preference on the subject.

This might be jumping the gun a little but playing as Desmond feels like the natural next step for the franchise to conclude the overarching story throughout the AC series thus far.
