Just watched The Station Agent (2003). It stars Peter Dinklage as a train obsessed recluse who inherits an old train depot in the middle of nowhere in New Jersey (apparently there’s a middle of nowhere in NJ). This is the chillest thing I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching. Its low stakes slice of life story is a panacea for the hellscape that life has been these past years. I love this movie, 5/5.

If you have both already why not keep both? You won’t get nearly as much as you paid for them if you sold them. Anyways if we’re talking third party stuff the X is the way to go. The power differential is usually pretty huge (see RDR2, major difference) plus the X is so ridiculously quiet compared to the jet engine that is the Pro.

I keep seeing a Bethesda ad at the beginning of videos despite being logged in and a premium member.

@secondpersonshooter: My friends and I played for 5 hours on Friday and went from 11 characters to 21, so at a fairly slow rate for unlocks. Considering we’re all busy adults, trying to get everyone together for a game night only happens once every month or 2. So when you factor that in, 10 unlocks in a session is pretty lame.

@theuprightman: Funny, all I can really remember about RDR1 was the ranching stuff at the Macfarlane ranch, I think because I liked that aspect of it so much. The rest of it has mostly disappeared from my memory.

So, I’m nearing the end of epilogue 2 and I have to say, I like this way more than the rest of the game. The main story was almost entirely ride somewhere, shoot some people, steal some stuff, ride back. In the epilogue we’re doing a bunch of the stuff that I loved about RDR1, simple things that make me feel more a part of the world like being a ranch hand and building up your own ranch.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the whole redemption arc of Arthur as he’s dying was really good, but it took a long time to get there and wasn’t broken up by much besides shooting people and stealing stuff.

Anyways what do you think about this? Did you like the epilogue more than the main story?

Edit: On a side note, the epilogue really makes me want the next Red Dead to be about Sadie Adler. She’s such a great character and could easily be the main character of a game.

I recently finished Skyward by Brandon Sanderson. It’s like a mix of Top Gun, The Last Starfighter, and The Dragonriders of Pern. It was amazing.

Hot damn, I’ve been wanting to try The Messenger out but didn’t want to actually spend any money on it. So I guess that will be happening. I also felt the same about Shadow Tactics and realized it was in my Twitch library even though I don’t ever remember it being free. Anyways I know what I’m doing with my time off of work.

The only thing I’m really worried about catching up on before goty is Red Dead 2 but after that my library is wide open and I’ll probably play a whole bunch of different things without any worry of having to finish them by a certain time.
