There is a pure joy vibe coming off of this game that is infectious. Watching this makes me smile, and this coming from somebody who never played any of the Wonder Boy games. I'll have to grab it once some of ye olde backlog gets reduced.
Ben should commit to playing Hollow Knight. I think he'd like it. I agree that it gets better and better as it goes on, but I don't think it takes 10 hours to get there by any means.
The ten hour comment was odd, as was the statement that the intro to the game was just smashing bones. Unless that's just a turn of phrase with which I'm unfamiliar; but it didn't sound like it.
On Hollow Knight: I still don't understand how people are getting lost without finding Cornifer. Hearing them discuss the map system was somewhat head scratching. Getting the map of the area unlocked is very helpful; but I always found that the trick to not getting lost was simply to pay attention to where I was going. And if I couldn't go back the way that I came for some reason then I'm not lost: I just need to keep moving forward until I reach another place of import. Or a bench.
@captain_insano: You may as well. Give it an hour or two. It won't take long for you to figure out if it's a game that you would like to continue to the end.
