I feel like Doom will lose out because, while the single player was viewed as spectacular, the multiplayer didn't leave the boys particularly enthused. I still believe that it will be a solid 2nd place; but I'm not convinced that it's a lock for 1st. It also feels like once they were done with the campaign there wasn't much discussion made about it unless it specifically came up in a conversation on air or in the news. This as opposed to:

Hitman, which feels to me to be the more likely candidate of the likely candidates. The enthusiasm for the game only seems to build each time that it gets discussed; and the continued support has made it a game that many of them seem to play on an ongoing basis rather than solely within the time frame of the episodic releases. If nothing else the discussion has INCREASED in recent weeks as more of the staff has played it.

I expect Stardew Valley to end up at third. There seems to be a general level of respect surrounding the title that, combined with Dan's enthusiasm for it, could yank it into third position by an eyelash.

Well, I'm in the purchasing department; but I tend to spend more time carrying out a series of tasks that have shockingly little to do with Purchasing than I do any tasks that relate to my job. I suppose, then, that I'd be looking at a slew of RPGs.

"Look, all that I'm supposed to be doing is slaying the dragon that threatens to burn down the kingdom."

"Thank you, Sir Hans, but we need you to deliver this fine cake to my brother's dinner party." "And I need herbs for my spell! Oh, no, it won't help you in your quest, but it is vital to my studies, and you're just the man to get it for me!" And so forth.

I'll second this. I have a Cloud 2, but I'd go with the Cloud 1. Most comfortable headset I've owned, and you will hear NOTHING around you.

Kingston HyperX Cloud 1 is my current fav headset.

Works great on PC and PS4/Xbone

Agreed on hearing nothing around you, and to a fault where it comes to the Cloud II. Apparently I missed my kids waking up, getting out of bed, my wife ordering them back and getting them a drink of water. I learned of this later with a well deserved glare of doom from the seat next to me.

A couple of packages of sour cream and onion crickets and BBQ worms. Ended up not buying them because the wife and kids were decidedly squeamish over me thinking about trying them.

Eh, this really doesn't seem like a big deal. The people that they have to win over weren't about to buy the more expensive editions with physical goods and collectibles; and it looks as though none of those extras, Season Pass aside, will affect anything in the game.

Antichamber is the only one that I can think of. I can only imagine it had something to do with the art style, because I have never felt the urge to stop playing a game prior to sitting down with that one. My head was in agony, stomach churning. Playing around with settings sure didn't do a thing. It's a shame, because I was very much looking forward to playing it, and enjoyed the hour or so that I had spent with it; but feeling as woozy as I did just sapped any enjoyment out of the experience.

I had an original model that never died on me. I say "had" because two years ago it was handed off to my stepdaughter. I... assume that it still works. I haven't received any requests for repair work on it.
As of this writing I am one of 27% of people in this poll who have never had one die. I have to admit, I expected that number to be far lower.

Don't Starve: Shipwrecked - Coming This Fall

Sail to adventure through the treacherous seas of Don't Starve: Shipwrecked!

Klei Entertainment has partnered with our friends at Capy, creators of Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery, Super Time Force and Below; to bring fans of Don’t Starve the latest single-player expansion: Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked!

With new playable characters, biomes, creatures and seasonal effects; Wilson and the whole Don’t Starve cast of characters embark on a sea-bound journey of exploration, adaptation and of course, starvation.

I'm kind of torn on the announcement. I love me some Don't Starve; but, unfortunately, I am not a fan of Capy. This is leaving me hesitant to get immediately happy. I'll have to wait and see, I suppose. It isn't as though I won't have Don't Starve and Reign of the Giants to enjoy just because Shipwrecked comes along; so if it doesn't seem to be something that I will enjoy then no harm done. Still, I SHOULD be excited for this, and it feels odd not to be.

Without knowing your interests outside of gaming, my wife and I adored the Field Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry. We could have spent an extra day at each if we had the days to spare.
