I'll now have Remnant From The Ashes on PC and PS5, having paid for neither, and will probably not get around to playing either version. Sorry, Remnant, I'm sure that you're a perfectly fine game.

@purpleshyguy: I would disagree on the intrusiveness of Control's collectibles. Yes, most require a menu to be brought up; but most are also just backstory and not necessarily critical to the action of the moment. I have, so far in my time playing, been content to just wait until I reach a point of downtime (for example a fast travel location, or after an area has been thoroughly cleared of enemies) to comb through those logs, letters and documents. Basically waiting until I reach a point where the pace would not be disrupted. If nothing else it helps to ensure that I am reading them when I'm not thinking about what is going on in the next room, helping with retention.

That leaves only those recordings and videos that play in front of Jesse and are not saved. I have found so far found those to be largely plot relevant and so SHOULD be viewed at that moment. For example, the video explaining the floppy disk, letting the player know that this thing is coming up and what it does.

Almost certainly Ghosts N' Goblins Resurrection and Capcom Arcade Stadium. Those are due next week. I expect that, if nothing else, they will reiterate that those titles are coming, with a some sort of short video on the former.

I've been playing this at various points for the last week or so, and am generally unimpressed. My feelings will be similar to others here, of course. The worst part of the game is the heavy element of luck that can be involved. With the cars darting about a fairly large area with plenty of impediments to the player's view, it's not uncommon to find myself alone, with no opponents. This isn't to say that this is a constant issue, only that I have run into the situation multiple times where I was on one end and could not find anyone to hit.

Similarly, I have found myself in a situation where my vehicle was wrecked, and there were no replacement cars around me. So there is my character, on foot, having to choose whether to run to the other side of the arena, or wait for a new car to appear or another player to drive by.

There is a fair bit of fun to be had in the game, and I enjoy it in short bursts, but I often feel like I'm left hoping that enough players will, by chance, clump together in front of me to allow me to ram into them all and score more points. Sure, it feels good to have wrecked so many at once, but it wasn't because I did anything correctly in that circumstance.

Again, none of these are constant annoyances. They just happen often enough to lessen any of the fun to be had.

Sucks to be them.

Also, I wouldn't be shocked if this was a PR stunt to sway public opinion of CD Projekt from abuser to victim; hire hackers or "hackers" to ransomeware your own company.

So... their plan would be to institute a fake online attack, involve multiple agencies, and expose themselves to the possibility of criminal charges if this hypothetical PR stunt were revealed to be a PR stunt?

I'll have to go with none. They had their time; but I fail to see what purpose it would serve. Konami's track record is so poor, especially over the last couple of decades, that I'm not even sure what I would want out of one of their franchises that other development companies, indie or otherwise, haven't done as well as or better than they. Wanting them to return to a former franchise would probably just be in name only, and that isn't enough for me by a long shot. I feel like it's time for those franchises to just go away permanently.

At most five. Any more than that I start to realize that I am being inefficient and start to close things down to focus on whatever it is that I m working on, or reading.

It was a great series of discussions this year. I do feel like the smaller group helped a lot, or maybe it was not having everyone crammed into a small room. To avoid armchair analyzing any further, I will leave it at this: the format of two categories per day, a set time in which to carry out those discussions, and the more relaxed atmosphere did the entire week a world of good.

I haven't ever done it to my recollection (if I did it must have been taking a day off of school). If I were ever to take a day off that coincided with a game's release it's more likely that I just wanted a day off, didn't know which day off, and the fact that a game was coming out on a specific day seemed like reason enough to select one day over any other. Even that seems like a stretch, though.

This is shocking. I watched several of his rounds over the years with my daughter, and we both found his play amazing, and the man himself to be grounded in the interviews that we saw. He seemed like a genuinely kind person, as others have said.
