Sequels to successful games come in two ways, they either revamp an existing formula or they do exactly what the previous entry did. Somehow Destiny 2 falls in between these two theories, as it's quite different but also the exact same as before. In Destiny's case, that's not a bad thing. Ghost Recon Wildlands is yet another entry into Ubisoft's "online shooter with the Tom Clancy name" genre, and although it has a lot going for it, it has just as much working against it. Functioning as a an open-world equivalent to Ubisoft's The Division, Wildlands essentially plays as a tactical Grand Theft Auto. An Amazing Mash-Up of Platforming's Greatest Hits 0
Guacamelee! 2 flew right under my radar. The first one was a pleasant surprise and one of the best platformers in recent years. With it's absurd tone, gorgeous visuals, and satisfying mechanics, it hit all the right notes without overstaying its welcome.
