My problem with this whole thing is that it's cancellation was just so damn anti-climactic. Someone needs to just pick up the pieces and make this thing.

That was my thinking. I think someone somewhere within Take Two figures this could still turn a healthy profit, to say nothing of the multi-million dollar investment they sank into development. I foresee the lawsuit being settled out of court, with the IP and source code being handed over and some developers internally wrapping it up in about six months.
