Isn't it funny how Animal Crossing New Leaf is my Game of the Year? Honestly what this year boiled down to was experiences, not games, and I needed something that I could jump in and out of at the drop of a hat. AC: New Leaf is everything I wanted in a new AC game and I still continue to log into it every single day. Because of this, I feel as though I got MORE than my $40's worth and highly recommend it to all my friends.

Fire Emblem beat out Pokemon, surprisingly. I thought I was going to love X/Y more than I did, but it was still a very solid game. Probably one of the best Pokemon games I've played in a long time.

  I don't know how many genius sims who study nonstop still manage to fail their finals.

  What a strange, difficult game. And yet, I cannot stop playing it.

  11. New Super Luigi U

  After finally completing the core game with my boyfriend, we jumped into New Super Luigi U. And it is awesome.

  12. Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale

  Quirky and beautiful, and a heck of a lot of fun. Grabbed this for $5 and never regretted it.

  A nostalgic indie where the puzzles rival those in Zelda.

  Finally, Luigi gets his own 3DS release and it's great.
