I just beat it a week ago.  Nope.  Not doing that again.  First level is amazing.  The second level just gets amazingly difficult/boring by the end.  The next two just make you wish the game was over already.  It was a nice try though.  I feel bad that it says it's the first part to a trilogy on the back of the box.

So many interesting titles coming out this year.  Im probably most interested in seeing what Skyrim looks like.  But I want to play Mass Effect 3 the most.

I think we forget that they are video game reviewers, not critics.  In which case they score a game so that people will know which games are accessible and fun.  They aren't pouring themselves into symbology and semantic ideology or irony to describe the game experience they had.  It's all very surface-level discussion.  Which is ok.  This is why I come here.  I come here to watch 4 (or more) dudes play games and have fun.  And I always respect their opinions.   Though I usually either agree with either Brad or Jeff.  Their opinions line up more with mine.  And Vinny usually seems more character focused.  Which is why I didn't understand his distaste for Enslaved, nor his lack of voice on 2010's best character.

But in this instance I think that they forgot they were video game reviewers and not critics.  And as such, sometimes you have to play games you don't want to.  At GiantBomb they have the control to review what they want, but for GOTY discussions it's inconceivable to write off games because you didn't take the time to play a GOTY contender.  So I think Jeff needs to experience Red Dead.  It's unfair to himself to not give it the light of day.  And his reason for not playing it is silly.  His job is to play games and judge, not to make blanket arguments. (I played GTA IV and LOVED it.  I understand the difficulty of coming back to a new setting/characters, but he has to better explain his opinion or just play it.  It wouldn't do any harm.) And I agreed with Brad on Limbo.  But for different reasons.

Also, "Best Debut" was a bad idea.  I fully understand why Jeff wants to get rid of the term 'ip', but we all know what it means, and none of us take offense from its business origin.  And deciding the rules and layout beforehand would be a good idea.  Such as whether downloadable games deserve to be considered in "Best Debut" or not.  Cuz it seemed that Jeff took issue with those games based on that fact, and they do have their own reward.   And in my opinion, they should just stick with the best categories, like best ramps and best character you'd wanna party with.

But hey, they are still going to be friends, and I will still have fun vicariously through them.  And all this talk of Bayonetta is making me want to play it.

We all have opinions, and yes, they can be illogical.  Especially if they are based off emotions.  But GiantBomb is great because its a bunch of guys excited to play games and spend time with the community.

I loved them after each GOTY, I will after the curtain is puled back further this year and we see how it pans out.  It truly is a testament to their friendship if they can have civil disagreements.

I've listened to it everywhere in many situations.  But mostly in Arizona.
