The framerate is really dodgy on the PS3 for me. Every Xbox video I've seen it is almost perfectly smooth, but the PS3 version stutters around like mad at points. Namely outside of Riften what with all of the leaves and Water and junk.

I would rather have a few textures load slowly over playing with a bad framerate anyday. I re-installed all of the game data that the PS3 stores on it's harddrive and it's gotten much better, but I still hope Bethesda can find a fix for this.

45. Giants' clubs can and will float into the air after their master dies, presumably to return to Sovngarde.

I'm a bit farther in now (about 12 hours) and I'm loving it. Will still get it on Steam eventually.

I've had a lock up in the intro (I think when it autosaves?) but nothing after that. The framerate sucked for the first few areas as has been mentioned, and it's mostly smooth now that I'm in the game proper. I had some REALLY bad slowdown while fighting inside that Fort on the way to Ivarstead though. 3 enemies and Lydia all fighting at once. For some reason I get really bad slowdown in there. Other than that, it's fine.

I'm kind of kicking myself because it turns out I can actually run the PC version respectably on my Imac. Damn.

I'm getting some texture things but not as bad as these, but there's often some slowdown which is really bothering me. I'm on PS3.

Goddammit!

My iMac (2011 base model) can run Fallout: NV pushed up to High with no problems, but I bought this on PS3 instead because I assumed that when Bethesda said Low settings will 'get you playing' they actually meant '...but will look like shit.'

The game looks pretty good on the PS3 but the framerate really sucks in some spots. I got some really bad slowdown while fighting 3 dudes with Lydia in that Fort on the way to Ivarstead, for instance.

Should I just buy this on Steam or something and try to forget I ever bought it on PS3? Fuck!

Before spending 60 bones for Skyrim, if you did not know what you were getting into you could have bought Oblivion (elder scrolls 4) for 10 or 15$.

I've tried a couple of Call Of Duty games before and never enjoyed them, so I don't even pay attention to those games anymore.

This. I remember when Halo 2 was bigger than Jesus one of my friend's Dad went out and bought an Xbox and Halo 2 on launch day because he wanted to see 'what all the fuss was about.'

This is a man who -at that point- had only ever played Zelda games up until then. Different strokes.

If this game came out with super modern animations and ZERO jank or bugs it would be in development as long as Too Human or Duke Nukem Forever was.

I'm playing a sneaky Nord dude. When I can, I initiate with bow attacks, but when they get close I switch to melee. Barely tried magic yet, except for healing.
