I'm confused about why people thought it was Zoe and the reasoning for why Giantbomb would hire her. She's a game designer and having listened to her speak about the subject on places like Bombin' the A.M. it sounds like she wouldn't give it up for the world. Why would she abandon her dream to work at Giantbomb? Just because they have a good relationship with each other doesn't mean that Zoe wants to write about video games from a strictly journalistic perspective.
She applied, so I guess your thinking is wrong, and that's why people would think it'd be her?
I'm not gonna pretend I know how she thinks but Zoe really seems like the type to try new and exciting things. I weep for the person who wouldn't find a position on the GB crew any kinds of exciting.
I don't know why the fact that those tweets are meant specifically to troll the shit out of you guys is not as abundantly obvious to you as it is to me.
Remember, these are people that are probably on the site fairly often, and thus sees a lot of forum chatter. Fucking with people, especially people that enjoy shitting on her (which this community has plenty of) and watching the resulting drama is pretty amazing and entertaining.
1) That tweet is like 3 weeks old. That's a really long way to go for a troll.
2) Zoe doesn't strike me as the trolling type and she gets plenty of hate for simply existing. It's not like she delights in it. Inviting more just doesn't seem like something she would do.
- Random PC games were and still are some of my favorite premium content. That feature kiiiiiiiiiiiiind of got rolled into Unprofessional Fridays, but it doesn't really have a ton of time to breathe there.
-The Dark and Demon's Souls runs were really fun to watch.
-The 2012 game of the year sitcom sendups were absolutely incredible. But I can't imagine the amount of time and effort that went into producing them.
-I'm a big fan of Giant Bomb Chicago. Patrick and Max are the perfect straightmen to Dave Lang's absolute insanity.
I'm still as excited for it now, as I was when they announced it. I don't understand the sudden backlash the game is experiencing.
Eh, I don't think there's really any more backlash than with any other game.
I'm a little less excited just because it's been SO long since that original trailer, but nothing I've seen/read so far has convinced me that this isn't a game I still want to play.
I think they build incredibly fun worlds to explore. Along the way there are some neat quests. They usually fall short with story, characters, presentation, and combat though.
And I don't mean to spoil life for you, but there are tons of people who are really passionate about things that you hate.
Wait, are people calling Persona 4's "romances" good? The fuck? You mean the game where you social link up to like rank 8 or 9 and then they go "will you be my boyfriend" and you're like "yes/no" and then theres maybe 5 extra lines of dialogue, an awkward hug and thats IT. Plus its NEVER mentioned outside that social link. So its ultimately pointless?
Thats kinda way WORSE than the bioware romances. At least other characters will acknowledge it.
I mean hell Vinny/Jeff made pretty much EVERYONE their girlfriend and it was never mentioned or had any consequences or appeared in other parts of the game. It was laughable. So yeah, Persona 4 romances are pretty bottom of the bin. Sorry guys.
Mass Effect 3 is the only time I can remember anyone saying anything after the hookup, and it was one line.
I've only played Golden and there's a lot of extra content with your romantic interest, and one particularly punishing day if you decided to date multiple girls.
Oh so they retconned it with a new version.
Classy.
...okay...
I have literally no idea what point you're trying to make with that.
