Many of you might not agree with this, but when used properly, WoW can be one of the most in-depth role-playing expiriences you can get in this day and age. A good RP server can lead to many sleepless nights and loads of inside jokes with a close group of friends.

I don't really need to say much about this game, because anybody whose anybody has played this thing.

Baldur's Gate 2.0. Took the gameplay of the first and reshaped it into the third dimension. Only flaw was amount of teammates, and they fixed that later.

Any series that makes people cry must involve intese emotional involvement. If its that good, it belongs on this list.
