This is Jim.

He needs to be motivated to do something with his life. What pictures, videos, or songs do you recommend? I recommended that he listen to the Rocky Balboa speech seen here:

What do you think will get him motivated?

What is a game you love that's kinda obscure? As in, its forum on Giantbomb is drier than a popcorn fart in the middle of the Attacama Desert in the summer?

What brought this to mind was a playthrough of one of my old favorites, Looney Tunes: Sheep Raider. That was, in my opinion, one of the best PS1 games, even though no one bought it. Most Looney Tunes adaptations fail to get the surreal sort of humor that Warner Bros was so good at, but this game had me chuckling numerous times.

I haven't paid much attention to Kinect before, but I have to say, from what Microsoft showed at their press conference, I'm slightly intrigued. I remember in Socom Combined Assualt that the voice control, though buggy, was actually pretty enjoyable, if not helpful. Now that it's coming to one of my favorite franchises, Mass Effect, I can honestly say I'm interested. Not only that, the demo they showed of the guy playing Ghost Recon: Future Solider on Kinect was...different. I can see how it could be fun to play a shooter with Kinect, but it might get tiring after a while. (I personally hope they will allow you to leap up off the couch while playing with the controller just for an awesome melee attack.) I don't know, last year it seemed they were destining Kinect for failure, with the dreadful Skittles the Tiger demo, but this year, they've actually got me interested. Anyone else feel the same way?

I've really wanted to get some more levels for this game, and I was wondering if anyone had any word on when it comes out.

On an enitrely unrelated note: How awesome would it be if Valve released a single player expansion along the lines of what Rockstar did with Undead Nightmare, with you playing through the game with the character Wheatley replaced with the  SPOILER WARNING: Click here to reveal hidden content.

I don't like this much either, but I think Ubisoft put in checks and balances to prevent this. I was in a match where everyone was running and I was the only one acting like an NPC, and after 2 quality kills I was in first place, even though they each had six or seven kills apiece. One good kill can propel you to the top, and if more people realized this the game would be much better.

Guess who has two thumbs and still owns this game, along with the original packaging?  THIS GUY.

I still have the passcodes to every level memorized including the secret passcode where a second player can plug in a controller and battle each other in Zord mode.

What sequels do you think got it right, in terms of improving on the previous game's flaws?

The big one for me is Assassin's Creed 2. The first one was okay, but repetitive. Assassin's Creed 2 kept everything that was great about the first game while adding a crapload of content to make the sequel one of the best games I've ever played.

I think I'll get the Mass Effect games, because as it has been said above, Fallout: NV is just more Fallout (definitely not a bad thing by any means) while my friends who have Brotherhood tend to play a game 24/7 for a few months then never come back to it again.

Thanks for the help.

As of right now, I have a dilemma. I am currently stuck between three choices:

  • Fallout: New Vegas
  • Assassin's Creed:Brotherhood
  • or getting both Mass Effect games.
I want New Vegas because I love the Fallout series, I want Brotherhood because most of my Xbox Live friends have it, and I've always wanted to try the Mass Effect games. Any suggestions?
