Hulk here.
Hulk promise to get World War Hulk blog up soon. Hulk get it up sooner than expected, with help from puny Banner. Hulk almost not want to SMASH Banner sometimes.......almost.
World War Hulk was the huge company wide crossover that Marvel followed up the hugely popular Civil War. It did not disappoint. Hulk not get into details of how it start since puny human can just go read Hulk blog about Planet Hulk.

Prologue: World War Hulk - World Breaker.
Sets the stage for the entire series. Recaps events from Planet Hulk, the first issue of World War Hulk, as well as various other events from Marvel Comics past that have lead to this.

World War Hulk #1-5.
The main book that drives the story. Every major event happens in these pages and is recapped and referenced numerous times in every other book related to World War Hulk.

Incredible Hulk #106-111.
Primarily shows the events of World War Hulk from the perspective of Amadeus Cho, Hercules, and a few of the Hulk's supporting cast on Earth.

Invincible Iron Man #19-20.
Follows Tony Stark (Iron Man) as he tries to figure out how to stop the Hulk and his army. From his plotting and planning as the new head of S.H.I.E.L.D. to taking on the Hulk himself in the Iron Man armor.

Ghost Rider #12-13.
Johnny Blaze sees the Hulk rampaging in New York on TV. He then sets off to try to stop him. Resulting in an entertaining battle with the Hulk through New York City.

Heroes for Hire #11-15.
Mostly follows the Heroes for Hire as they deal with the bug aliens introduced in Planet Hulk that are now under the rule of Hulk and one of Hulk's Warbound members. This series is pretty forgettable and probably Hulk least favorite of the entire event. But Hulk list it because it is a part of it. But feel free to skip if needed.

World War Hulk - X-Men #1-3.
Definite must read. Hulk heads to Westchester to seek vengeance against Professor Xavier, one of the members of the Illuminati. One of the best tie-ins of World War Hulk. Very entertaining battles with great story pacing and solid art. Hulk battles all of the X-Men including Wolverine, Cyclops, Colossus, Juggernaut, and many more.

World War Hulk - Frontline #1-6.
This is an entertaining read that follows news paper reporters as they chronicle the events of World War Hulk. You see every major event from the story in their perspective. Cameos through out by various other Marvel characters.

Irredeemable Ant-Man #10.
The new Ant-Man takes his shot at helping Iron Man take down Hulk. Doesn't work out so well for the little guy.

World War Hulk - Gamma Corps #1-4.
Very entertaining series featuring people that had their lives ruined by the Hulk who then accepted the chance to volunteer for gamma experimentation which would give them the power to seek their revenge against the Hulk. This group of people are the Gamma Corps.

Avengers - The Initiative #4-5.
After the events of Civil War the Initiative program was started, which is designed to train super powered individuals in the use of their abilities as well as placing them on a super team in one of the fifty U.S. states. This series mostly follows young recruits of the program that are too young and inexperienced for official battle as they try to lend the big boys a hand in stopping the Hulk and his army.

Punisher War Journal #12.
A short, self-contained story where the Punisher protects a neighborhood from some of the stray insectoid aliens from the Hulk's army.

World War Hulk - Aftersmash.
Epilogue to World War Hulk. Showcases the aftermath of Hulk's attack on Earth and explains what happens to various characters in the series. It is also a primer for a few other books such as Incredible Hercules, Warbound, Damage Control, and the new Hulk series.
This should be all for summarizing the various tie-ins to World War Hulk. Most of the books recap many of the events from the other books and take place at the same time. Hulk suggest starting with the order they are listed here and just working your way down. Or if you are a real stickler for seeing everything all along the same timeline as it happens Hulk suggest looking at the month each issue was released on and reading them all in that order. There should be several read order lists online, but Hulk not going to rip one off or spend a lot of time cooking one up. IF PUNY HUMAN WANT READ ORDER PUNY HUMAN CAN DO OWN LEG WORK!
Hulk hope this blog post helpful. Hulk big fan of this crossover when usually Hulk not like big company wide events like House of M and the new Secret Invasion. Hulk was big fan of Civil War so maybe one day in future Hulk will make similar blog post about it. But Hulk doubtful on that.
