@csl316: yeah, thanks for listening to the wet blanket minority! We all had fun with Until Dawn! We could have continued having fun! Thanks a lot..jerks.

They never said they were going to stop playing Life is Strange. Calm down. All they've done so far is let people know that they've been paying attention to feedback and are considering a different format for the LiS playthrough, which is exactly what they should be doing.

I was mostly speaking in jest no worries I'm not actually angry about any of this. I did wish they would finish Life is Strange because I found the story interesting and it's one of those games that I don't particularly need to play myself to enjoy. They confirmed they'll finish up Episode 2 and then play something different - I just hope to God it's not Phantasmagoria.

@playd3ux: yah and that sounds awesome! I don't know who comes to AC for accurate, historical retelling. The crazy way they tie key figures into their plots has always been part of the charm.

I'm starting to feel too old.

Next they'll make a pewdiepie game.

It's actually in development - it's a retro styled pixel platformer.

So at times Dan says he hams it up a bit, playing dumb for effect. At other times he explains that he's not like Andy Kaufman constantly playing a character and he's usually being his genuine self.

So let me ask this: when Dan was asking these questions about childbirth, like if it hurts more than taking a large dump.. surely.. this is Dan hamming it up for effect right? I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, I'm just super curious.

@marokai: I don't care what people say, I think Revelations is actually a high point for the entire series. Apart from that tower defense minigame which honestly wasn't entirely terrible, just took too long, the combat and traversal were excellent. That hookblade seemed extremely lame in the trailers but in the game it actually worked surprisingly well! You could sort of double jump when scaling structures and when falling down you could extend the hook to catch yourself on a ledge. The ziplines were fun and it looked cool to flip people over with it in combat.

On top of that I really enjoyed those hidden crypt missions that sort of felt like a mix between Prince of Persia and Tomb Raider. Also this is an unpopular opinion aswell but I thought Ezio was finally tolerable for me because he wasn't that dumb, young, wisecrackin' Nathan Drake of Italy, but instead that old, grizzled pro wanting to get out but forced to do that one more hit.

I remember being surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

I heard Evie can go invisible at some point and she is way better at stealth, and the dude is way better at combat. Maybe that comes into play later on.

Vinny and Austin have to be playing up this befuddled act concerning the violence right? I know they've played an Assassins Creed game before and this is the site famously quoted in the New Yorker "There's one really good move where you will stab a dude fine or six times super quickly shank style like uh uh uh uh uh just jabbing and thats oddly satisfying."

This is way more violent than i remember it ever being, granted haven't played since 4 maybe rouge and unity were like this.

I don't know man, I played all of them and I remember all the way back in AC2 some of those executions you got when using different weapons were pretty brutal, especially like halberds and axes. They were always very violent games. Connor in AC3 had a tomahawk he would cleave into peoples skulls and his hidden blade would transform into a switchblade.

EDIT: Here is some combat from AC2 - you're hoisting a man up on a lance with blood splurting everywhere.

I almost ordered that Metal Gear book but upon further research it's just a collection of articles pulled from various places and collected together in a single volume. I'm more interested in the art itself.
