Because they are composed of people who have made bigger and better things than this....far bigger and better. Fart apps can be made by any booger-picking grade school kid...and I'm pretty sure there was at least one that WAS made by said booger-picker.

If they want to show that this team is worth anything they could create...I dunno, a REAL GAME? As people saw from the Molyjam, and from other game jams before, you can have someone create a game pretty quick without any real prior knowledge of game design or programming...and Summer Camp is made up of people who have *actual experience* in the game making world.

And I'm serious about the "app rejection" line. if they get rejected by the App Store for attempting to put out another fart app, they will actually learn something: that if they want to make it as an independent studio they need to put forth more effort than a fart app requires.

As much as these guys will "learn" from people using this app/buying stuff for this app...I'm against asinine wastes of time like this.

I hope it never clears the App Store review processes. Maybe then these people will "learn" to stop wasting their time.

The only way you could "break" Brad in D3 is if you had him suffer through an account hack and to deal with horrid customer service to get his character back, only to discover that all of his gear had been stolen.

That, or suffer through 12+hours of clickclickclick clickclick clickclickclick clickclick click clickclickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclickclick clickclickclick clickclickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclickclickclickclick clickclickclick clickclick clickclickclick clickclickclick clickclickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick clickclick click and bathroom breaks.

I wouldn't say its horrible, but its not worth any amount of money.

The story is shallow, characters look like that crap from the Cartoon Network prequel CG cartoon. The voice acting is atrocious....

The gameplay is no better than any other MMORPG out there.

All in all you'd be better off playing WoW. You'd spend less money to have the same amount of initial fun...(that is, you'll play free until level 20) and then either you'll find friends to help play through PvP arenas and dungeons, or realize you could be doing better things with your money and play something else.

BTW, thanks for the image spam, OP.

So is there some demo video out there showing anything beyond the 3 minutes of cover based shooting and Uncharted-esque climbing? Because I really didn't see anything in there that warrants any sort of forum post beyond "Gosh, that's pretty!".

Please, if there really is some trailer out there showing people that there's anything to actually discuss about this game, let me know. Otherwise, why make topics about this game...or really anything new shown off at E3?

Now, responding to the developer(s) in this thread: Now that I've scanned over the link for the Kickstarter project: Wow...this looks pretty darn neat.

So what we have so far from the information is that this game will be a class-based third person action game. I'm seeing definite multiplayer fun to be had, as certain classes will focus on long-range attacks while others can take more damage, and deal more damage, up front with melee.

You're controlling school kids, who seem to be in elementary/middle school....so there's the elements of "Disney movie gone horribly wrong"...

You're armed with kid weaponry: water guns, pop guns...freaking nerf guns! Baseball bats...and there's also classes of characters that focus on hand to hand and even "magic" (the Bookworm class).

I'm glad you guys decided to list the people working on this game, and the games they themselves have worked on. This is a must for Kickstarter projects: I want to believe that there are people out there with no experience that can create a great game (the MolyJam, and other gamejams, have shown that people with no working knowledge of programming can pump out something working and fun)....but when a project asks for Kickstarter-level money, you need to know that the people behind it know what they are doing.

Yeah, this could be something pretty awesome, and worth some of my money. I'm not going to take a screenshot of when or how much I'll be donating, but you'll get some from me.

Don't be afraid to cross-link info from the reddit thread and this one....this is definitely something worth talking about.

People can give 322K for a documentary of Bronycon (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/257527888/bronycon-the-documentary) people support 12 year olds running rpg maker games, yogcast of all things. These guys come out with game footage, have worked in the industry and actual experience. They ask for the base amount to help them get off the ground and you shove back in their faces.

Kickstarter has a terrible community. Games with actual unique premises and detailed information and gameplay to show for it are ignored while any idiot's pet feminazi propaganda/furry comic/angsty rpg makes a killing. In Double Fine's case all they had to do was say 'ADVENTURE GAME!' and made 3.3 million. It's making me a whole lot more sympathetic to those big bad publishers and the money bags in other related industries who have to put up with this kind of bullshit everyday and rightfully turn these people away.

The giant bomb community used to be cool and supportive of endeavors like this, but I just guess its Summer Giant Bomb that hates anything that shows some actual heart and soul and that isn't hipster tripe.

Proudly gave this man my $25.00 and will give more next week when I get paid.

Uh...I don't get where you're pulling this negative vibe from...its just that most Kickstarter projects (including this one) provide very little information about what the game is actually like, and throw a bunch of buzzwords and promises at people.

I'll visit the links and develop my own opinion on this particular game, but Kickstarter projects in general bug me....

You put down your hard earned money...hope that enough other people put down their hard earned money and collectively reach a 6-8 digit dollar sum...and then further hope that all that money is used to actually make a game.

Then, unless your donation was enough to garner some sort of "prize", you get nothing out of it except the ability to purchase a new game....somewhere 1-3 years down the line. That is, unless the project folds...and then you might get your investment back.

I'm sorry, but developers of games that want to use Kickstarter need to understand what these projects look like to the donators, and need to start putting forth decent information about their projects, and have reasonable goals and promising ideas. They need to understand that just because you think that you have a great idea and can put together the resources with the sum you are bidding on Kickstarter....doesn't mean you know what you need to do to create a good game.

So sorry that we, as a community, aren't rolling in dough, and are willing to just throw a few thousand to every needy person out there without knowing a little bit more about what we are supporting.

Yeeesh, things are looking grim for THQ.

Has anyone from Summer Camp heard about this?
