I think this could work. It gets rid of the need for a bunch of dedicated buttons (the way smartphones have replaced tactile cell phones due to the infinite usefulness and ability for the screen to become anything), and the moving parts of standard controllers, the sticks. I already use Xpadder to get rid of having to play with an awful KB+M setup on 90% of games anyway (mouse only games, I just use mouse), but if this can deliver mouse-like fidelity with slight thumb movement one would use instinctively on an analog stick, there could be something to this. I'd like to try one.

Only bad thing looks like it has the handgrips backwards? Or has bumps where your thumb wraps over the top to the button part where other controllers are more flat. It seems holding it would be uncomfortable, but I won't decide until I actually do.

Have you tried logging into Steam, restarting it in offline mode on the machine she wants to play on, then logging onto Steam on a different computer? I do this all the time to keep a little time wasting game up on my laptop between loads and breaks on bigger games on my desktop.

My couch can't support seven asses. What's the big deal? Four players for what's happening on screen is about the practical limit.

Why don't you just get a 3DS and turn the 3D off?
