So here's the deal with me first and foremost. I basically hate the internet.
Not so much the internet as a whole, just people on the internet. Everyone knows that people become entirely different once the veil of anonymity drops down upon them, but I have big time issues with people talking out of their asses or just being pricks for the hell of it.
So, naturally the best thing to do is to start a Blog on a website dedicated to gaming, a pastime whose online community is well known for being a cesspool of fucktardery. We'll see how it goes. I want to like this place, and so far I definitely do. Once the console wars and snarky comments start overrunning the place I'll be disappointed.
As far as games go, I tend to be one of those annoying guys that basically likes what he likes, and sticks with it. I love JRPGs, SHMUPS, Platformers, Puzzlers, and the like. Game genres that have been somewhat left by the roadside in favor of the FPS juggernaut and few other genres. I by no means hate the FPS genre btw, just wish that more developers would focus elsewhere. At least some of the time. Valve is allowed to stay the course.
I own a 360, Wii, and DS. I love all 3, and play all 3 regularly. The 360 is my system for cutting edge graphics and blockbuster titles, the Wii is my system for Nintendo first party games and quirky niche titles, and the DS is my go to toilet/on the move system. They all have great games. At least to me.
Just a quick intro I suppose, and as for my alignment, I picked Nintendo because they continue to make the games I enjoy most. I'm not a fanboy per se, as I won't defend their mistakes... but until they stop making games as good as Super Mario Galaxy and SSBB, I'll continue to be a huge fan.
