Using an obviously fake UK PSN account, I downloaded the demo version of Killzone 2 and proceeded to playing through its insanely short but nicely tense areas. The fact that it's a slower-paced shooter with lots of room for strategy really rubs me the right way. My only pet peeves about the demo - and I know it's just a demo - is that it's so freaking short and the inability to increase the difficulty. My virtual combat strategy is good enough that better A.I. could've significantly stretched out the demo. It was literally a headshot city for me; those Helghast really should've been using cover better.

I also downloaded the demo for F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origins, which was exactly opposite of KZ2 in that it's extremely long for a demo. Plus, I like the horror angle a lot.  I actually got a nice jolt from the evil female spirit on occasion. The enemy A.I. I experienced is awsome and the weaponry really makes a difference in how the player's approach strategy. I'll probably pick up Killzone 2 once it hits the shelves, but  F.E.A.R. 2  will be on my "wish" list until it hits a nice price drop.
