Kecak in video games
Well, obviously in video games, but
Kecak, sometimes spelled - wait, quote blocks are in mandatory bold? Aaaaaargh. Okay - sometimes spelled kechak or ケチャ or the actual proper script or whatever, and informally known as the "
BalineseRamamaya Monkey Chant", is... actually, you know what, if you've heard it, you've heard it. God, why does everything fall out of head when I actually start typing.
This list was originally going to be about gamelan with kecak as a specific priority, or about kecak with gamelan as a secondary objective, but after looking through a bunch of stuff officially and unofficially labeled as gamelan, I decided to focus solely on kecak. Should I be italicizing gamelan and kecak? Ugh. Okay, there's still a few mentions of gamelan, and I hope to one day make sure there really isn't any kecak in games like Sonic Unleashed, SOCOM 4 and Kena: Bridge of Spirits. But if I don't hear "chak", I won't look back.
