Best Console Strategy game of the year. Made some really cool changes to console RTS that make it a much more accessible strategy game than any other so far.

An FPS/RPG hybrid that actually works...most of the time. A little glitchy and buggy, the game still manages to pull off an extremely rewarding and addicting experience.

My biggest surprise of the year. Dragon Age Origins turned out to be a fantastic look at how PC RPG's were in the past and how they could be done right in the present, even on consoles.

While many believe that this game does not deserve this status, it has made many substantial changes from the first game that make it a better game all the way around. Coop gaming at its finest. Oh yeah, there's a bunch of other cool modes in there too!

Probably another big surprise of the year. I really enjoyed the first game, and was only a little disappointed in the repetition that was required. However, this game does away with all of those problems and just offers a great story, and fun gameplay that will keep you interested all the way through.

This game was both a surprise and a real delight to play. I am a big fan of comics, and all bias aside, the game itself is superb. It is a top-notch, focused game from top to bottom and keeps the pace going throughout. A truly great mix of puzzles, stealth, and action.

Maybe not the best Mario sidescroller, but it is the first one to include 4 player, simultaneous multiplayer and it is an absolute blast!

If I had to choose one DS game, this would be it without a doubt. I could recommend it to any type of gamer and they would fully enjoy it. An excellent game from top to bottom.

Love the beatles, Like rock band? This is your game. Not only that, but this game is fun and looks really good if you are into music games.

I can't really even think of any competition this game might have. Not only is there almost no competition, if there was, this game's features, car variety, and gameplay would completely shut that game down.
