11. Death Stranding

I have a big love/hate relationship with that game, which is why it is at number 11.

I think it deserves to be mentionned which is why i added 1 more entry in my Top 10 games of the year.

My weirdest feeling about that game is the fact that, while loving the way it made me feel and just the gameplay in general, i won't ever recommend this game to anyone.

Anyway, Let's start with Gameplay.

Weirdly enough this game was really relaxing for me, planning my route, managing my equipment, checking if i couldn't grab anymore deliveries on my way to the objectives. It just works for me, in way that i wondered if American Truck Simulator wouldn't be my type of game.

The community stuff is Amazing, and i really mean Amazing. I don't know how many times i've seen a structure built by another player that saved me. Or seing something Under construction that is so well placed that i took the time to go back to base just to grab the materials needed and finishing that Bridge or whatever else. I loved this. And then chapter 5 Ended. At this point the game just throws shit at you. Bad Boss fight with absolutely no challenge. Horrible condition to delivers cargo that makes the relaxing experience into an insufferable one.

And the Story Starts Great, then it gets bad and keep getting worse and worse.

i Love the intro, that's the best part of the story ! Really !

That sense of mystery, me looking confused at the TV and saying "WTF" out loud. The begining is the best part of the story, because you don't know anything about it ! But at the end of the game, it can't stop explaining itself and it becomes too much. Throwing "Plot Twist" at you that we're really fucking obvious. Explaining why everyone is named the way they are. And just keep going and going, Hell they're even explaining the story While the (First) Credits Rolls.

The story is the reason why i Hate this game

The gameplay is the reason why i loved it so much… up to a point.

10. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

I cannot believe that a Call Of Duty is in my Top 11 in 2019. I never was a big Call of duty fan since 4 or maybe Black ops. But even then, even when i was playing the hell out of that Multiplayer, it never really was the game i wanted to have a discussion about.

i played some folowing iterations here and there, but didn't really like any of them except from Advanced Warfare for that really good Campaign. That's Right i think Advance Warfare has one of the best COD Campaign.

And then Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019) comes out. it's really good ! Campaign, Multiplayer Versus, it's great ! I don't really have much to say, i'm no expert in that kind of game. But the Weapon Customization is simple and really smart. The Story is cool, and the missions and well made i got nothing against it. and thoses infiltrations mission are pretty sweet !

I feel like i can never get bored of the online because of the variety of the modes. You got the Standard COD stuff with TDM, kill Confirmed, HeadQuarters and more. they've added in Ground War that is a large map with 64 total players, pretty much what Battlefield does. and then you have, my favorite, Gunfight. A 2v2 mode where every player has the game Gun loadout. It feels like playing a completely different Game.

I like it, Modern Warfare is Good. Surprisingly Good.

So yeah, Call of Duty is my number 10. Never would've Guessed.
