Was this a thing? I don't use Twitch that much but I don't recall seeing much in the way of exhibitionists.

From what I understand, there are a small handful of female streamers (possibly a couple male) who dress provocatively and set up their stream so that the self-cam is bigger than the actual game. So obviously, if you're doing to that stream, you're probably not going for the wicked-hype gameplay these people are putting out. These people pretty much always ask for donations.

@alwaysbebombing: I obviously can't speak for Raymond, but if I were in her shoes, no matter how strong the company, the embarassing performance that Ubi's PR department has been putting on lately would make me want to jump ship as soon as I could.

I can't stand Sarkeesian. She has a distorted view of the world and has a habit of completely overblowing a lot of issues that, in truth, are barely issues at all. Her fame is built on top of hyperbole and faux outrage.

That said, I think the people who keep threatening her and harassing her need to just crawl back into whatever hole they came out of, or better yet, take a reality check and get some fucking professional help. Not only is it completely unacceptable behavior in any context with any person, but it's giving Sarkeesian publicity and validation. I'd much rather she let herself fall into irrelevance with her draconian idea of "feminism and equality" than get shot dead or made miserable by rampant harassment any day of the week.

@rirse: Obviously fake. Everyone knows that Notch is a bear, not a duck.

That Crytek interview is disgusting. Is "complete and utter lack of empathy" a requirement to be put in a leadership position these days?

@fitzgerald: It's neither bad, nor is it overrated. It's a really DECENT open world game with a really bland, unlikeable protagonist. Just like Assassin's Creed was. And it's certainly not overrated, at least with the PC crowd. I see more blind, drooling hatred for Watch_Dogs than any other game in recent memory. You'd think the game was an unplayable pile of shit the way people talk about it online.

Thank you, Patrick. I'm still flabbergasted that, as just a regular old guy watching videos and listening to podcasts on the internet, I still get choked up when I remember Ryan, even though I never once met him or spoke to him. To many of us, losing him was like losing a real-life friend.

We all miss Ryan, and I think the love and happiness that we, as a community associate him with, will continue to "make it hard to move on." He may be in the past, but we won't forget him.

@stealthmaster86: You are not alone. I've never been one to pretend that the lives of celebrities and entertainers affect me, but Ryan's death had a profound impact on me. After listening to him for years, having him suddenly gone was like losing an old friend.

I still get emotional when Ryan comes up. It's amazing what a profound effect this wonderful man I never met in person has had on me. We miss you, Ryan.
