@atramentous: I think that I would have loved that part a lot more if it was less drawn out. It was much less content over what seemed like an eternity compared to the Journey. But I still really appreciate it.

As for the actual fight, I just over-leveled the fight and Messiah was pretty useful.

I always take issue with these kind of things not because I'm so keen on defending the copyrights of massive corporations (who are often perhaps a little overly aggressive), but rather that if these games actually achieve the super high level of quality that a lot of their fans imply they have, they're using existing IPs that they don't own as a crutch.

In the current atmosphere littered with official iterations, it is a little exhausting to see that sometimes really talented people would rather contribute to the fandom of some certain IP (and that's all they are, different worlds and characters that people really invest themselves in, there's no "best" IP, though maybe there are some "worst" ones), rather than to actually contribute to Games as a whole.

By now people HAVE to know going into this that they'll get shut down by any company that holds anything about any IP unless it's the mistiest of vaporware... right?

Hey y'all. I just started playing, enjoying it quite a bit, made a character on Corellian Run. Are you guys still, like, playing? The /who system isn't very... detailed.

It's really good. I don't know if there's really a better platform for a Song of Ice and Fire, playing as a country but more importantly a dude... I have really high hopes for where this goes.

At this point, when I play I just try to subvert every single bad thing that could possibly happen. Though it certainly becomes strange when Robert wins and the entire continent is painted grey, still very very cool.

I have to agree with everyone that there's just something... off.

The art direction is good, the combat seems engaging, but I had to turn my graphics down to minimum just to be able to see anything. Before I did that it was just all black. It's not a question of running because my computer can run Skyrim just fine at Ultra. Theres something that feels very imprecise about the menus in both gamepad and mouse and keyboard. The dialogue seems off and maybe just not as inspired as some of the things we've gotten accustomed to recently. I'll reserve my judgement for a finished product, but if a demo is supposed to tantalize us into buying it, I'm kind of wondering why it just doesn't really... work.

@Napalm:

  • Angry Tiger, the Sexy Angry Tiger
  • Sad Panda, the Sexy Sad Panda
  • Sexy Kitten, the Sexy Sexy Kitten
  • Tammy Tolliver, a reporter and announcer for the Genkibowl. (She's really reminiscent of Jane V. in SR2)
  • (Also there's a delivery homie for "Yarnie")

Purely economically, you get (correct me if I'm wrong here):

  • 4 Homies
  • 3 Vehicles
  • 3 Masks
  • 1 Suit
  • 6 Missions

All for around 2 hours of gameplay. If you loved strapping it on this much, I'd say you probably already bought the Season Pass. I definitely do not consider it worth the non-discounted price.

I noticed in the intro one of the tickers says something along the lines of "People are questioning if Johnny Gat is really dead," which gives me hope that the upcoming Clone-themed DLC has some sweet Johnny Gat action.

@SmasheControllers: Yeah, I just finished it in a little under 2 hours. Missing like, 4 achievements, I'll go back later.

I definitely loved it but was hoping for it to extend the game in a meaningful way and it felt more like something meant to be played alongside the story rather than post-game. New outfits or weapons to sink some money into would have been nice, considering how it piles up.

@SMTDante89: Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Is anyone else playing it? I feel like I should probably reserve my judgement until I finish it.
