I don't disagree with her points. However, as she stated in the video, videogames are not really worse than any other type of media when it comes to the depiction of women.
Also with indie games being as prevalent as they are now I see no reason why women would not be able to make their own games where they raise the status of all womankind.
I'm glad I don't live in Asia I guess. The current situation is so beneficial to China and the US that I don't think that they would let things escalate into war. China will not allow US troops on their borders and the United States can not back down from South Korea as it is their most important strategic outpost in Asia.
If I had to guess, I'd say that the North will fire a few shells into South Korea and at most test their nukes above ground.
The servers seem to be more stable than yesterday. I've got a region set up for bombadeers at the West Europe 1 server. The region's called Das Bomba, but it's set to private so you'll have to add me onto your friends list in order to join.
Subido did this kind of stuff even before there was a Giant Bomb. Seems interesting, but having been in the industry in Finland I'm sadly not too optimistic for your success. There just isn't enough of a viewer base to sustain a site without heavy and invasive advertising. Also, advertising your site on the forums is lame.
After 5 hours of waiting I finally got to play for 2 hours this evening and had a blast. And when I signed out I saw a glimpse of a popup which said something about not being able to sync with servers. So I'm not all that optimistic that I'll be able to continue from where I left off.
I guess I'll hook up the first European region since I finally got onto a server. The region's got room for 16 cities and It's set to private for now so add me as a friend.
