Why are so many of you naming publishers.

I know EA develop alot of games but EA is a publisher with an army of devs, and shouldnt be considered one.

Also Rockstar,       which one?,   OK i presume you guys mean Rockstar North (GTA), but again Rockstar is an umbrella of many devs.

Trying to run an official patch wont ban your steam account,  If you download the official Patch and try to install, it will either complete succesfully, or it will just say you dont have correct version installed, if so you will have to wait for steam.

As far as mods are concerned, hmm, most game should be ok, as they simple have a mods folder where the installed dumps the mod files.

Im pretty sure this is the case with Stalker too,  I only have the disk based version, and have only played with the Float32 mod, and Im sure that should work for the Steam version too.

But you may find they dont install to the right place, so you may have to extra the mod and then cut n paste it to the propor location within your steam install directory.
