instead of getting a single 1TB HDD you may be able to get two 500GB cheaper than that and then you could raid them in raid0 and increase your performance at the same time making a 1TB paired drive.

Left 4 Dead is an obvious great co-op game.

supports both online and local split screen play too.

Portal another good co-op experience.

If your willing to go back abit, System Shock 2 could be played co-op with the patch installed and if you can find it, install the tecture and mesh packs too which make the game look much prettier.

The protest are about a leaked internal memo suggesting the addition of micro transactions for gameplay elements.

The protest aren't about the 'hats' equivalent (although they are very expensive) but the protests are about the idea that people can buy items that will give them an advantage in the game over those who choose not to pay for such things.

So say that in TF2 instead of buying hats you could buy GOD mode, thats not very fair to the rest of the players.

Like ZimboDK suggested, the Tropico series are very good, my favorite being Tropico 2: Pirate Cove.
The Anno series is also extreamly good, Anno 1404 being brilliant.
Sim City  is an obvious one, but the latest one (societies) being pretty poor in my eyes, leaving Sim City 4 quite old.
If you do like the Sim City games then the Cities XL series might be something to look at, CitiesXL 2011 is a very good looking game, and the first in the series City Life also has some interesting mechanics with citizen types, which kinda reminded me abit of Constructor, which is also a brilliant golden oldie, you would need a dos solution for that though, something like DosBox, which you could also use to play the original Hospital Tycoon,SimTower and Theme Park games.

And kudos to PeguinDust, Evil Genius is amazing, and yes it is available on Steam.

Why call them either.  Do you refer to you white friends as White,  no you refer to them as your friends.
