Great list! 2013 is a heck of a combo with Last of Us and Spec Ops the Line. Spec Ops was one of my favorite stories of all time. I think it was executed really well, and very underrated.

Superdown with this list. Specially from 1991 to 2001, man, what a frikkin incredible decade of videogames that was. BUT, there is one exeption I must mention. Saya no Uta. Sure, the story is very original, not gonna complain there..... But man..... that game is sick as fuck (and not in a good way), and the makers of that game should be in some sort of list by law. If I saw any of those fuckers next to a playground I'd be calling the police on the double.

Seriously, out of all the games I've played that's the only one I've ever been like: "Naaaah, nope, this is waaaaaaaaaaay too much and waaaaaaay too dark." Hell, Manhunt, Hatred and all those "super violent" games look like Barbie's Epic Pony Rainbow Adventure next to Saya no Fucking Uta.

And before anyone asks, I am familiar with the Higurashi saga of games. Saya no Uta still takes the cake by a mile in the super-fucked-up-games department.

This is one the most exciting lists I've ever seen on Giant Bomb. It's rare for me to encounter so many games I've never heard of.
