@benpack: I hate to be that guy, but the Warhammer universe never goes from fantasy to Warhammer 40k. Those two universes are completely separated, instead being parallel realities or some such. I am a lot more into 40k (started painting miniatures last year, read a few books etc) yet enjoyed Total Warhammer at least. Was going to save up for Total Warhammer 2, but your coverage of this made me buy this instead...

@danryckert I think you can stop the whole "I don't understand roleplaying" bit now. It's getting old, and frankly quite unrealistic. I mean, you have written some quite enjoyable books about an alligator in the Air Force, and you are a huge fan of wrestling. So you understand what make-believe, stories, acting and imagination is. It is therefore impossible that you don't understand the basic concept behind roleplaying, something I also think everyone has done at least once in their childhood.

If you actually don't understand it at all, and is incapable of understanding it, don't participate in any roleplaying session on the site. It will be a miserable time for you and everyone else :/

I was getting ready for the "bad gameplay" in Wolfenstein 2, after hearing the Crew complaining about it. I beat the game today, going back in now to mop up stuff, and I just didn't have a problem with it. Sure, I played on the default difficulty, but didn't have more problems with it than I have in other shooters. The stealth is fine, and the running and gunning around is fine. So if anyone has decided not to get the game because of the gameplay, you should try it for yourself I guess. I had a blast all the way through, and chances are you will too.

Kinda funny how they talked about which actor they got this year, then completely miss some quite big names in the zombie mode. They caught Rhames, but Tennant, Winnick, Young and Kier are all great actors!

@rocketfalls: For sure! I would not let that aspect of my personality stop me from playing a tabletop rpg with someone, as I think I would learn and grow as a person having to "act". I have always been really bad at stuff like that (read terrified), so having to do so in a fun setting with friends is certainly a great way to try it out.
But for now I will have to get my fix through Friends at the Table and The Adventure Zone.

@danryckert Roleplaying is like writing a book cooperatively with friends. You work together to tell interesting stories happening to your characters and the world they live in. To make the story interesting, you will have to fail now and then. And having characters ignore the rules of the world they live in will make a story bad. Instead of looking at it like "my character needs to win this game" look at it like "I want the story of these characters to be interesting".
That is my take on it, as someone who really wants to play tabletop games but don't have a group/the time/the theatrical chops to do so, so this might be kinda wrong?

And hey, I like Tool, Rick and Morty and Lord of The Rings (it was my first real book, and I cannot thank Tolkien enough for making me love books) so what do I know.

Wait, so the progression you went through in the first game is not in this at all? I liked having a startup restaurant where you unlock and buy more and more stuff. If the only thing you can do in this game to progress is go between the restaurants in the tower then I am sadly not that interested.
It probably doesn't really matter, but I like that sense of progression in management games.

Man, I miss Stubbs! Sad no one has made a game like it since. The whole aspect of defeating enemies to build up your own forces like that is so cool.

Is this the game Vinny talked about a while ago that went into some Lovecraft stuff later on? If so, I kinda want to play it someday just to see that. Not enough games try to go that route.

I want more games like Thief, where the whole reason for the stealth is not to be noticed. So this seems up my alley. Seeing how the kill-animations take a while makes it seem you are supposed to not touch the enemies at all, and instead sneak around like a shadow. Which is exactly what I want.

I understand why Jeff wouldn't like that kind of game, but I do wish they made more of them. Having two people who don't like/suck at these kinds of games was maybe not a wise choice, as the only thing it represents is how the game will look if you play it with a completely wrong mindset. It would be like a quicklook where they try to be stealthy and non-lethal in a Call of Duty multiplayer match.

But hey, we who like stealth games know this kind of game is for us, so we will find more footage elsewhere to see how the game is I guess.
