I've let you down...

No one reads this blog, but I kinda don't care. Browsing the new profile features of the site led me to the disappointing realization that my last blog post was not only from 2010, but also saying I'd fallen out of love with video games. Whilst true, I had, that didn't last long.

Man, video games are great! Sure, we're in a transition period where console games are (generally) pretty shoddy, and the PC "master race" climbs out of their pits to tell us we're all following the wrong path (and heck, they're probably right for a little while), but video games are awesome.

I've not had much time to play during term time (final term of university... scary), but over the Christmas break, I took part in a global war across Tyria, raced my way to the top of the Horizon festival and battled cops whilst fighting as Master Chief and taking part in some covert ops. That was just three weeks, but video games are awesome.

The PlayStation "meeting"... sure, they didn't show a box, but who really cares? A box goes under your tele, and you only care about it when you need to insert or remove a disc. What matters is that the video games looked awesome. Even existing IPs like Killzone and inFamous looked great, and I was never really into those franchises in the current generation.

The next generation is coming. The hype train is leaving the station. A fight is on our hands and video games are f'in awesome!
