@nushen: I've been telling myself this again and again but it doesn't help. These guys have been a major part of my life for 18 years. I was practically agoraphobic, and I had to overcome that in order to go to PAX to meet them. It was one of the biggest milestones in my life when I finally got up the courage not just to go, but to actually approach them and shake their hands.

This should be a fantastic community project, thankyou for doing this!

When I first read about this year's Game Design Challenge, I was fascinated by the concept of Chain World, but lamented that there was no way that I could participate.

Great idea man.

From everything I'm reading, the game sounds a lot like Guild Wars.

Specifically,

Neverwinter is a cooperative RPG. You can play with a bunch of friends and experience Neverwinter and D&D in a brand-new way. We're trying to create new sorts of games that we call "OMGs" (online multiplayer games).

Neverwinter features co-operative multiplayer in an ever-evolving, persistent world where Dungeons & Dragons adventurers quest alongside thousands of other warriors, rogues, wizards and faithful avengers.

If it's done well enough, I could go for GW but with an underyling D&D ruleset and advanced character creation/customization.

Hey Dave, what ever happened to Icewind Dale III? :P

Like Harris, I also got in through the Twitter contest. I used to play play SC obsessively back in the day, but it's been so long since I've played an RTS now that I've lost any semblance of skill that I once had ;). It would be great to get some games in with you guys and get back into the swing of things without the pressure that comes with matchmaking.

Some of those shots are beautiful. I love what they did with the perspective.

Lol. Hopefully he'll be cool and still have some community involvement like Navarro and Rorie and those ex-GS guys who are now working at game developers. I'm more worried for the Brodeo than I am for him. You need a strong host personality, and Shawn Elliot just won't do.

I was actually thinking about the Rod Humble analogy. He was quite critical about many of the games he worked on (albeit they were all long released).
I am also very worried about the Brodeo. You know Shawn has to realize that he isn't enough of a host, and I'm honestly worried that he is thinking about stopping the show. This morning as I woke up I was remembering that three week period in the lead up to E3, when Jeff was vacationing in Southern Europe, and how much magic was lost without him. During that time I was counting the days to his return.

GFW Radio isn't just my favorite podcast, it's my favorite weekly entertainment period. This hasn't even sunk in fully for me yet, but I feel like I've fallen on my face, like the carpet has been ripped from underneath me. When I'm having a really bad day, it doesn't matter how bad, as soon as I hear "Hello and welcome to GFW Radio!" everything's cool.  Of course, this isn't about me, or any of us, although Jeff certainly took us into consideration in his decision. I wish him the best at his new job and may actually pay attention to The Sims now ;). But seriously, dude HAS to guest at least occasionally.

Both of the ones you guys mentioned are two of my favorites... it is really hard to choose just one! I also really like the scene early on where Tidus and Yuna are just beginning to fall in love, and they are laughing up high on the edge of the cliff. I think they were just exiting a city.. I can't remember.

But if I have to choose just one it would have to be suteki.
