Oh man, Jess' knowledge of silent hill trivia is amazing. I have played this series to the death, but every 15 minutes it feels like she mentions something that I had never heard about. I'm excited to see more! :D
@spacehobbitz: Because after the Shattered Skies comes the Skies Unknown~
Someone correct me if Im wrong but is this sort of a sequel to Ace Combat 4? I remember that in one of those games you fought on the Osean side. Seems like now Osea is the enemy? Also spelling? The strange real has some real strange spelling and names.
And there definetely has already been a space elevator.
@pkmnfrk: Yeeaaaaaah I thought that too at first, but then did some research. Turns out our fates are a little too intertwined. They go down, we go down.
Trading with local gamers is a great way to save money if you wanna play the latest games, also many libraries here in Canada stock games that you can borrow for free, if you are willing to wait 2-4 weeks. You'll have more luck with that than waiting for the Loonie to beat the Almighty Dollar ;)
As cool as this is a feature to have for amiibos...maybe this should have been in the game by default. This is almost worse than dlc because it requires you to buy another game, and the amiibo, and play that game up to a certain point...it's not really comparable, but it's content that you are locked out of potentially.
I hope at least you can either get wolf link, or at least another wolf in the game without the amiibo. Similar how to you can get all the sprites in Mario Maker.
You know, at least Wolfenstein, Doom, Mortal Kombat, they all had multiple games in the franchise before launching a game that was simply called the franchise name. That's going to look super weird on a franchise list for Prey where the only games are Prey, and Prey (2017).
That said, YES, absolutely, give me another psychological space horror game~ Dead Space won't be back for a while yet.
@ripelivejam: Might be wrong, but from what I understand, the majority of the work on the campaign was done by a single team, whereas snap map and multiplayer had a bunch of other studios participating. Which wouldn't be surprising considering how segregated those modes are in the main menu anyway, and how even snap map was functionally different in terms of gameplay (only two weapons, hovering pick ups, etc).
Surely I can't be the only one that is actually rather excited about the fact that going forward, simulated racing championships are going to more than ever be a thing? And with official sponsorship from the FIA too. This is a few steps above just "obligatory e-sports" I'd like to think. Formal competitive racing has always had this sort of blockade to entry, because of the expenses that need to be covered. Having the tagline "Racing is for everyone" really does represent what it seems GT Sport is setting out to do. It's really commendable. I've got tears in my eyes just thinking about it, really ^_^
@hatking: It's been a while, so I cannot comment on how 'arbitrarily' the tapes were doled out, but when you come back from the mission, one of the first things to pop up is the yellow tape with the button prompt. That is more or less the equivalent of a 'red' codec call (unskippable story beat). The clear tapes are more like the 'green' codec calls (Optional information that you can receive).
The main difference of course is that there isn't anything forcing you to see it through, but I think the color coding makes it clear what is 'important' and 'unimportant'. Or what the game thinks is 'important'. I don't know why they felt it determined to drive into my head the function of wolbachia multiple times. I get it. And unfortunately Code Talker is not a fast talker. I ended up just remote playing the game to my vita and made food while listening to him.
