Worse. Not even close. Sony's incompetence has placed millions of gamers finances at risk.

Anyone who defends Sony is well... an idiot. I understand that there are fanboys out there who will defend the things they love to the death, but the way that Sony has handled this situation is completely unacceptable. I personally have said that we shouldn't be too quick to jump in and slam Sony for this whoe situation, but with the new revelation that gamers personal information may have been compromised and that their credit card information "MAY" have been stolen, I cannot fathom anyone defending Sony. If Ryan feels this strongly about what is going on then I completely understand because I feel the exact same way. Sony hardcore screwed up. If there was even a possibility that your information could have been stolen Sony should have let us ALL know as soon as possible so we could take the proper precautions. So, in closing, Sony has lost a longtime customer.

It's time to turn on the ol' XBOX... dammit, RROD... well, at least it didn't "POSSIBLY" allow someone to steal my life savings.

Just kidding, I have a new XBOX. Halo: Reach is awesome.

Well, this will change my opinion of Sony. I understand that in developing the initial infrastructure for the PSN system they probably gave some thought as to how to secure your information but obviously not enough. I'm hopeful that after this incident nothing like this will occur in the future. Sony seems to be taking the time to revamp PSN to make it safer for all of us to use, which I will never complain about. However, I will not be providing my personal credit card information on PSN, I never have (which at this time seems to have have been a great decision on my part) and never will. I will also not provide that information to XBOX Live either. I always just purchase and redeem codes when I want to fill my wallet on either system, which is annoying, but in a time like this is totally worth it. I'm hopeful that no ones CC# has been compromised by this attack, but I am also confident enough in what Sony is doing that we will not have this issue in the future.

Daikatana... yeah, I bought into the hype at first then as more information became available my excitement began to diminish. After actually playing the game I felt less like John Romero made me his bitch and more like he just mugged me on the street and took my wallet.

if you don't care to move into the last generation then I will suggest Rogue Galaxy... I really enjoyed that one. It was a PS2 RPG that came out around 4 or 5 years ago and had an interesting story. I have a few good suggestion from past systems and a couple for the current generation so specify what you would like and I'm sure I can give you some to consider.

I don't really know what happened to the service but the updates provided by Sony do not offer much comfort when considering that we do not know if our CC information has been compromised. I would hope that Sony would have the common courtesy to let us know at least that much.

As a PS Plus member I am not expecting any compensation from Sony, and in all honesty don't really feel too entitled to any considering that if the service is back up by Tuesday then any new updates we were due to get won't be available until then anyway.

@TheMasterDS:
I completely disagree that used games are the same as stealing them... I enjoy searching for older copies of my favorite games from the past. I really want to have the original package in the games that I buy now, therefore, I buy all recently released titles new. However, out of print titles from the old days are what I buy used. So no, it is not the same as stealing in all situations.

I played Earthbound on my old SNES back in the day.
