As a long time Mass Effect fan i thought Andromeda was a pretty good experience. The main story was 'meh' but i loved all of the Tempest crew and disappointed we won't get more missions with them. Loved listening to Peebee go on about studying the Remnant, Vetra talking about her family, and even Gil and Kallo bickering about how to maintain the ship.

I know i'm in the minority but ME1 is still my favorite because of the sense of discovery. Andromeda had a little bit of that in learning about the angara and their history.

Hopefully the next Dragon Age game is good and it renews people's faith in Bioware.

I keep trying to think where i know that actor from. Looks like some TV comedian but i got nothing.

Wonder if he'll become the "Peter Dinklage" of this game.

I guess you could say the karaoke game is realistic since most people are typically bad at karaoke.

The notes are so close together and the bar move so fast i don't have enough time to press the button. Any tips for getting a high score? Dan made it look easy on Beast in the East.

I am playing the game via Remote Play on my PC if that makes a difference with input latency.

@zeik: I tried that but it didn't feel like it helped that much. I still got flanked by the other dude and didn't have time to react.

@zeik: The biggest stumbling block i've had was fighting those 2 thugs in the hostess club. I found it frustrating to actually land some punches on them.

Think i'll suck it up and buy Yakuza 0 and see how long it takes me to catch up to the GBeast duders. I really wanna play around with the Beast and Breakdance styles.

I decided to jump in with Yakuza 5 because i got it free with PS+ and i find the fight system pretty clunky and the tutorial barely explains how it works. If i hadn't watched Beast in the East i'd have a much harder time getting into it. Is combat in Yakuza 0 easier to get into?

Aside from i like what i've seen of the story and Kiryu's intro.

People seem to forget that in previous games, you would get a loading screen when you used a Mass Relay, so it's only natural you would get some loading on the galaxy map in Andromeda. However, there was never any loading between 2 neighboring planets! This "feature" is by far the worst thing in this game. I don't know what happened here. It's 2017, I should be able to look at a giant map, highlight whatever planet I want and scan it or land on it much easier than it is in Andromeda. I'm not flying the ship myself between planets, I'm just looking at a cut scene I should be able to skip. I still can't get over how this passed QA. Or am I missing something?

I think zooming in on the planets was an artistic decision. I find it kinda relaxing and it's pretty cool when you see that massive black hole in the background. Though if your gonna force me to watch the travel cutscene there better be SOMETHING to scan on every planet. Don't care if it's credits or minerals, just do something to make it worth 100%-ing every system.

Edit: The reason i think so many people loved ME2 is cause it was a much more directed experience. ME:A feels a lot like ME1 to me, it has that sense of discovery and everything old is new again. It would be nice if there were more friendly alien races but keep mind, this is only one fraction of the Andromeda Galaxy. Also to expect Bioware to create a whole host of new races, in addition to the returning ones, for one game is a bit insane.

Bioware Apologist here: I played the 10 hour early access demo and i'm itching to get back into it and explore the brand new galaxy.

The human facial animations are a little weird but i can look past that for the in-depth story and characters. The writing and voice acting seems fine from what i saw.
