The start-up of this stream has some strong "waking up with a hangover" energy.

The developers of this game also made Oniken and Odallus: The Dark Call. Their motto is "we know retro", and I'm inclined to believe them.

That Cats trailer is a lot less uncanny the second time watching it, now that I wasn't completely blindsided by it.

It's funny that they bring up "guess the Hayter" while listening to the opening narration, which was also done by David Hayter.

Dan keeps describing this game as solidly set in Symphony of the Night, but I'd say it's actually a strong blend of SotN, along with Aria/Dawn of Sorrow, and Order of Ecclesia. This is the Quintessential Igavania.

@glots: Resident Evil is at its best when it's embracing the pulp. Overdramatic monster reveals, thick-headed heroes wondering what's going on, and hammy villains devouring scenery over their plans and/or creations.
