Scratched Off 1-100

This is a comprehensive list of games I've actually played to completion. Considering I've been putzing around with video games since I was four, this list is WAAAY too short.

For the record, I am defining "completion" here as either

Playing through a game's campaign/story/mission mode until the credits roll; or
In the case of games which do not show credits at a completion state (i.e. Skyrim), completing the main story/mission arc in single player.

By no means am I playing any of these games to 100% completion, unless denoted.

I like how, after racking my memory, this wound up being the fiftieth game I ever beat. Not a perfect game, but my first Zelda and the one they made for the 25th anniversary of the series.

This is the last game I beat in 2012. Diversity: It's not just an old, wooden ship used in the Civil War era. Also, I have strong Christmas/holiday feelings tied to this game's music. Might try to replay it every December going forward. Just a wonderful, happy game where nothing bad can exist. 21 games beaten in 2012.

I think I got this game initially when I was around thirteen years old, and beat it when I was twenty-four. That's an eleven year gap, hopefully the longest I'll have between initial purchase and completion.
66. Super Mario 64

Actually this would have to win, though technically this was the Wii U Virtual Console verison and I had only owned that for a few months. I got my N64 in 1997 so there was about a sixteen year gap here. Uffda.

Upon finishing this game, I vowed to not purchase any new games (outside of Humble Bundles) until this list was 100 entries long. I didn't stick to that, but it did slow my roll a bit.
70. Lugaru

This game is a pile of shit. Combat feels terrible, dialog is terrible, and you'll feel terrible for owning it. After the thirty thousandth attempt at the penultimate level, I just turned on debug mode and played dirty. Not how I wanted it to end, but fuck this game.

This is a fantastic indie title! It's not the longest game ever by a long shot, but what is there is a blast to play.

77. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Played the Gamecube version and holy shit, this game hits some fantastic high points. Wolf stuff was a drag though.
78. 10000000

Bought on Jeff Gerstmann's recommendations for my first Android phone, enjoyed it quite a bit.

80. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

LATE ADDITION. I can guarantee that I finished this game, on the Wii U. I have looked through archived MiiVerse posts and it looks like I was in the forest dungeon as late as December 2013. There are later posts from my former girlfriend in mid 2014, but that was her save. I also started posting AC3 and SM3DW stuff on MiiVerse by December 2013, which makes me pretty sure I moved on. So my best guess is I beat this by mid-December 2013.
Game is great by the way.

What a dumb, wonderful game.
89. Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey

At 83+ hours, this is by far the longest it has taken me to finish a game. It beat out my Skyrim time, which Steam told me had 74 hours logged at completion. I don't see this record being broken until I get into SMT: Nocturne or one of the Persona games.

95. Mario Kart 8

Apparently getting gold trophies for all cups at 100cc is Nintendo's definition of beating this game. Caught me off guard.
