What're the chances we'll be getting another batch of spooky commentaries from the Beast coast this Halloween season? I absolutely loved last year's bunch and really hope it wasn't just a one-off thing.

Also, what Halloween-flavoured movies would you like to see the crew cover? Hypothetically, of course.

I quite enjoyed it. I'm not sure if Gunfight will pull me away from regular MP once the game launches but I think it's a really cool mode. The game itself feels much like you described, distinctly Call of Duty but trying to be more thoughtful about recoil and how a weapon would behave when you fire it. Not to say it's trying to be a realistic shooter but just slightly moving away from your guns being recoil-less damage hoses at all ranges that we had been seeing from more recent instalments.
I loved the MK.2 lever action rifle and the Desert Eagle (GS.50?) particularly. Really fun and rewarding weapons to play and land kills with.

The most important thing this Alpha succeeded to do in my eyes is make me excited (although I already was to begin with) for the full game. I'm really interested to mess around with the gunbench/create-a-class and tool around with the different ways you can modify the weapons.

@notnert427: Did you try the Call of Duty 4 remaster? I'm not sure we'll ever see a return to the slower paced CoD games just by how every instalment has trained the playerbase to react and play to play so much more aggressively than 10 years ago when we were all still figuring it out.
That re-release was effectively the same game, but it just didn't feel right and I really think it's mainly because of how people play CoD now versus how they played a decade ago.

But anyways, I'm a broken man and am basically ride or die with Call of Duty until some serious shit turns me away so I'm as "excited" as I am when any new one gets revealed. Cross play could be cool but it worries me with how it'll sort PC players because in an ideal world I never want to be matched with them as a console player, and lets not even start on the hacking that persists on PC. The "brand new" engine sounds great on paper but I guess it's something I need to see with my own eyes.

Call of Duty has certainly been in a strange place this generation. Every year one of the studios will have their crack at it and seem to nail some things but trip up some others they either got right in the past or another studio did.

It makes your suggestion sound appealing, but with how split the community has become on which developers games they prefer, I don't see it ever working beyond transforming Treyarch/Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer into some monstrous omni-studio (which I don't see ever happening, for the record). I thought Black Ops 4 had a really good showing this year but if you look at what the Call of Duty community thinks I'd question if I'm even playing the same game the way they describe things. But I guess that happens every year.

I got a legendary skin for Mirage very early (way before I even unlocked him) so that basically made him my main.
Mirage's faults are obvious but I haven't found an active ability as fun as the decoy is (Pathfinder is close). It's up so often and it constantly tricks people that you can try some wild stuff during fights and get some really good flanks if you trust your team to be split from them.

The Truck Simulator quick looks for sure. The Euro Truck Simulator 2 quick look specifically is easily a top 5 Giant Bomb video in my books.

I thought I'd hate the health regen but I came accustomed to it really quickly. I like how it speeds up gunfights where you or the enemy are only tagged by one or two bullets. Being able to pop the health stim to be able to engage faster and on the inverse, needing to keep the pressure on someone you didn't finish off is interesting.
You can actual equip lethal and tactical equipment like a flashbang or frag grenade, but it replaces your specialists gear (the RB/R1 for consoles).
Heist and Control are fun modes but I don't see them overtaking TDM and Domination in my regular rotation of gamemodes.

I have high hopes for the full game. I had a lot of fun with the beta and I'm excited for the Blackout beta in a few weeks, here.

With the two weekly podcasts I feel like it does conversations about new games and what's in the current zeitgeist there better than Quick Looks these days.
As for premium content, I've been digging back into Vinnyvania because I'm not completely interested in all the ongoing series. I'd like to see Exquisite Corps move on from XCOM sooner rather than later because I like the concept but it's just been dragging I feel. I don't watch Ranking of Fighters so I don't really have any insight there.
On the other hand I love All System Goku as a person that went from watching next to no Dragon Ball and has now caught all the way up to the current airings of Super's dub. Thirteen Deadly Sims was amazing, and I eagerly await whenever there is a new Get in/Gaiden the Ring.

@littlewask: Thank you! My schedule is kind of all over the place so I can't really say. I'm just busy right around the start time but I'll be online later this evening. I really don't know when specifically or anything, though so I don't want to make anyone wait obviously.
