How was Dan the one to do a QL of this? And yeah, this all turned out about how it should've been expected to.

That's the first time I've ever heard the Jackie Chan Adventures referenced by someone other than myself

Now I want to play Ninja Gaiden and Sands of Time again, so I guess this was a productive stream

I legitimately was looking forward to this. I didn't love the first game, or anything near that, but I was excited to play a better version of it. For some reason I can't put my finger on, though, this strikes me as incredibly tedious and boring. The amount of time spent in menus making decisions that don't seem particularly complicated or fraught with potential downsides seems really off-putting. Also the microtransactions seem bad.

Also the way you just stroll past giant hordes of hostile orcs as if they're not even there is fucking strange to look at and emphasizes just how little danger there is to the PC. I had that same problem — the lack of any real sense of danger — in the first game too.

Given these comments, I don't feel like there's much of worth to say here except that I'm thankful for this series because it finally got me to commit to playing through Xcom. Like 2/3 of the way through a classic playthrough of EW now, then gonna move onto Xcom 2 (hopefully when there's a nice sale on it so I can get the new dlc as well). Turns out this game's pretty awesome. This feature might not show it in the best light, but it was enough to get me to dive in, and that's good enough for me.

I really like the focus on co-op. If I had a kid that'd make me even more interested in this game, especially with how lenient they are allowing you to constantly warp to the 2nd player, alleviating any platforming frustration. Including some co-op specific moves and abilities is a neat little touch too.

Feels like they focused on the right things with the sequel. Not necessarily something I'll play, given how little time I have for games nowadays, but if I had a kid it definitely looks like something I could have fun playing with him/her (though I'd probably go for a R&C game if the kid was a bit older).
