I'm loving it... this "not enjoying as much as I" argument happens for every game, and is legit for those that fall into the category. I often would, but not with Bastion - right up my alley and really digging it.
#29, not too bad, one vacation one (Plumber) had me tripped up, the rest was pretty easy.
For food, think CLASSIC arcade cabinet title and ANOTHER arcade cabinet title, one from Data East, one from Atari.
For garden, think Microsoft's version of candy and blindfolds and a series many want a 3rd of from Nintendo
For vacation, think Gamecube overalls and paint, the flagship franchise, and of course...Jack Shephard, Ben Linus, and Sawyer running from zombies - remember THE TRAILER that everyone paid attention to...
For sports, think the one that fits the clue from Nintendo, frisbee anyone? The other, I tried another random title from this Blank "U" system and it worked, the clue makes it easy.
@dvand987: Yeah it's excellent...all his albums are spectacular. I would kill for him to come somewhere near me at some point this decade. He's flat out amazing. Glad you enjoyed it as well...
Big fan of listening to Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' score for The Social Network... also Daft Punk's work on the Tron: Legacy soundtrack... and the Hanz Zimmer Dark Knight score while reading. I do use Giacchino's Lost scores as well as some of his Pixar work from time to time also. When I want to keep it very serious, I listen to Ludovico Einaudi's epic "Divenire." Check it out, he's one of my favorites of all-time.
It's been revealed that Wii U supports 1080p using HDMI, internal flash, and both SD and USB. I get that they don't want to kill sales this year, but not putting the specs out there and not mentioning that there IS a console box in addition to the controller to me was a big mistake. I'm intrigued but that's about all I can say as of yet.
I took a look at the iPad (iOS) App Store last night and noticed that Brady has an L.A. Noire app for 2.99. It looks to be pretty nice, with full maps and locations of all collectibles plus the added bonus of being able to execute a touch checklist as you complete objectives or find certain things so they will be marked off the maps. I was curious, since no one has reviewed it on the store or anywhere else, if anybody out there has given it a shot. I just cracked my copy of the game open and thought it might be a nice companion for the collectibles later on. If you have a thought, let us know what you think. If no one has an opinion or has tried it, I may be the guinea pig because it's such a minimal investment.
Those disputing me... I only based it on the sites I checked. I didn't go to Metacritic (I never do). I went where I care to see the scores outside of GB. I hope everybody who wants to enjoy it does so, but I've been called names in private messages simply for trying to throw some info out there. As soon as the embargo lifted, IGN's review popped up and was the "only" review available for a press average according to them. Then came Joystiq and 1Up, and that was enough for me. Name calling and nonsense is patently absurd considering I made it clear that some people care about reviews and others don't. I wasn't very interested in the game but was surprised at the low scores I personally saw. So that's that... hope those who want to love it, love it.
Just sampled some of the rest of the Net's reviews... which are now out officially. Just a quick guide - if you don't care about reviews, that's fine, but some people do...
- 1Up - (D) - Joystiq (2 out of 5) - IGN (6.0) - By far the most positive
