KOTOR is possibly my favorite RPG of all time, so I was incredibly disappointed when KOTOR II barely ran on my console. The framerate was awful, almost unplayable, especially during combat sequences. While the story was intricate and probably well told (it's been so long that I can't say one way or another), I could never get past its glaring faults.
Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone has heard Vinny or Alex discuss a Giant Bomb meetup in NYC at all (Something similar to the meetup that Patrick hosted in Chicago a little while ago) ?
I'm sure those two are extremely busy setting up their studio still, so I'd imagine it's not exactly in the cards soon (if at all), but I'm curious what the word is. Hope you're all having a great day, thanks in advance for any responses.
I'm completely and utterly stunned. I don't think I've ever been so devastated by the loss of someone I've never met in person. Giantbomb has always been a safe haven for me, and Ryan's voice and unforgettably witty commentary have brought me so much comfort and amusement through some pretty rough times. Through countless quicklooks, bombcasts, TANG episodes and the like, Ryan and the rest of the bomb crew have become an important part of my life and losing him honestly feels like losing a close friend.
I seriously feel like I just lost one of my best friends. I don't care how weird that sounds. The thought of going the rest of the day just pretending to be okay is killing me right now. And what would I tell people? "Oh, this guy on the internet died." That sounds insane but it's the truth.
Sorry for your lost, Patrick. I have a real respect for what you do. You bring a great sense of integrity to your work and it shows. You have our support.
