Whether it's bloated with microtransactions or not will be a bigger deal for me. After the whole L.A. Noire debacle I've always had the impression Rockstar is a very shitty company to work for, not too hard to imagine the cynical attitude permeating all Rockstar games reflects the feelings of studio heads.

2 is a lot less rough gameplay wise then 1 despite what some will tell you. There is a peculiar emphasis on platforming and level navigation is often nonsensical. Story wise they've always been extremely corny and the presentation, while great for PS2, is probably the most dated part.

They're very cool games and I like them despite all the flaws, they are truly unique.

I can't believe there are people saying he should keep his job. No one will take anything he's written seriously ever again, what's the point of keeping him on payroll? I don't like people not having jobs either but he very much earned that firing. Suppose this is probably bad news for anyone in the youtube sphere looking to break into a gaming website, since that is the route he took.

Not my favorite overall but I do want to give a shoutout to the rendition of Stand By Me in FF15. Was a really inspired choice and a high quality track in its own right.

@TechnoSyndrome: The animation in super is actually generally good, the first 13 episodes are just very poorly done, I don't know why. Obviously it doesn't match up to movie animation, but that isn't really a reasonable expectation.

Battle of the Gods is good and quite a bit better then the Super version. Resurrection F isn't so hot and the Super retelling is quite a bit better, so yeah skip those first 13.

Despite all the hand wringing Super is pretty entertaining even if it has dull stretches, those first 13 episodes are just kind of a bad version of the movie, which is unfortunate.

I'm getting back into it after playing for the first 6 or so months. I'm down for whatever and will send gifts.

@genericbrotagonist: But you really only need the first few and final cutscenes to get the gist. Maybe one or two between. Game is a lot of fun though, neat mechanics and well realized levels. Honestly think those last few cutscenes are the worst part of the game.
