@petiew: You can make anything sound complicated with a convoluted sentence. There is a lot of versions of the bad guy. He can possess people who are evil or weak and split himself into pieces. There is a white soul monster (extra strong ones who appear when a strong character gets keyed) of the good guy cause he unlocked himself with the keyblade once in a cutscene. The macguffin appears when good guys fight the bad guys as the prophecy foretold. The data stuff doesn't really exist outside of one game which may as well not exist. The time travel stuff is aggressively stupid and unnecessary, that I will grant you.

Again, the series is 10 games long at this point with no stand alone entries. There's a lot of story, but if you've played at least the major ones nothing is too hard to comprehend. It's just kind of dumb and sappy.

1,2 BBS and some of the cutscenes in the 3DS one and the DS/GBA ones are the necessary parts.

Many worlds, normally locked away but opened by swordkey. Sword key can also release souls from people's bodies. People create monsters when they lose their souls. Big bad guy (who is involved with first connecting worlds) is working with his soul monsters and other bad dudes to do bad stuff. You play a good guy with a sword key trying to stop him, you have friends you lost track of who might also be able to get swordkeys. End. You could go deeper but that's all you actually need to know.

I don't care. I don't buy product I haven't researched.

Lots of people coming out of the woodwork with an axe to grind now that he isn't here to correct the record or defend himself. Truly pathetic.

@samoopy: Well said. Couldn't have been more disappointed in some responses to this. Lost respect for a few people I've been following for years. TB could certainly be an abrasive guy, but that was isolated almost entirely to twitter, something he has always admitted he had a problem with. In terms of his actual actions he has done far more for the gaming community then most gaming outlets.

The majority of modern Mario games feel like the exactly the same game, and that game is extremely competent but kind of boring.

I think Kratos is mentally immature and pretty much driven solely by insane lust for violence, I don't really think that's his fault. He's a crazy person. I wouldn't say he's likable, but I can't say I hate him. The idea of an old reflective Kratos who's had some time to think about what he's done appeals to me.

Hopefully as little as possible.

Ehh I think this is a pet issue for Abby. If it existed in any game in any form at all they were discussing I'm sure it would've been brought up. I'm not big on it either, wish it wasn't there but it doesn't bother me enough to make me hate a game. I do think 2B pushing away the camera when you do try to adjust the camera angle just so is kind of funny.

Also, as others have said, she praises to death a game about dining and wining hot dads in the discussion as well. So yeah.... It's her opinion and everything but I don't think she exactly has the moral high ground.
