I believe the series S does 1440p and can upscale some things to 4K, but does not do native 4K. It also supports variable ray shading & ray tracing. The 512GB SSD for a digital only console does seem rough though.

Button for me. I've mostly played handheld but have played docked with the pro controller some. The button controls are a little odd at first, but I got used to them pretty quick. Really enjoying the game so far as it's my first playthrough.

Very excited. I almost bought FF7 last weekend. I claimed Control but haven't started it yet. I want a PS5, but I have such a backlog of games that I'm interested in that I'm in no rush.

PS5 at some point after they figure out their supply issues. I'm in no rush as there's still multiple PS4 games I wanna play that I haven't yet.

I play my PS4 regularly. On the other hand, I have a XBOX One S but rarely turn it on. I have GamePass until August from upgrading my XBox Live Gold account for $1, but I really haven't made use of it. For the most part, by the time a game arrives on there I've either played it or it's heavily discounted if I were to just buy it. If you like Xbox exclusives that go there on launch day, it's great. But for me those have really been lacking this gen. Right now I'd like to play RE7 and Control, but when on sale I can buy those 2 games for a total of $30. So as cool as GamePass seems and can be for some people, it hasn't been great in my experience.

I was feeling like that when I was playing Destiny 2 a lot. To be able to keep up my level to play things like IB or do the raids I had to grind through the same activities weekly. If I didn't grind, I was essentially locked out of the content I enjoyed. It felt like homework and like a chore. So I've just altogether stopped playing games like that. If I do play a multiplayer game I've played things like COD or Halo, where the more you play, you'll get better and maybe unlock some things but it isn't like increasing your level and getting OP weapons like in Destiny 2. I've enjoyed games a lot more since I stopped playing Destiny 2 and focused on games that I can play at my own pace and not worry about keeping up with the people that can play all the time.

Nope. I already rarely pay full price for a game as sales happen so quickly now. I'm a fan of NBA 2K, I love the MyLeague. But it ships in a pretty bad state, you have to wait for roster creators in the community to do their work and make the game good, so to me that's never a game I buy for full price anyway as it ships in a bad state for MyLeague.

I also have such a backlog of games. Like I loved the RE2 Remake and want to play RE3. It's already been on sale for $40 but I'm waiting for it to get to $30 or below.

I really liked reading their reviews, but they said they've decreased them because they spend a lot of time giving their thoughts on these games in the podcasts and in QuickLooks. I wish they did shorter review-type videos, if I'm truly interested in a game the Quick Looks are generally more than I want to see of it. I did like Jeff's review of it on CNET.

I got a new TV in 2018 and ended up going with the Sony X900E servies TV. It's awesome. OLED was still quite a bit more at that time, and from my research I chose that. I've been very happy with it. If you don't go OLED, I'd look into them.

This game has become a disjointed mess. I hadn't played it in about a year (a few months after Forsaken). I loaded it up recently and with the systems on top of systems I felt like I was just doing homework, which is why I stopped playing the game in the first place. I went a head and just uninstalled it, gotta find something else for my PVP FPS fix though.
